Comcast. Most piece of shit company ever. I would rather shove 6 pine cones up my ass then constantly have to deal with their shitty customer support all the way in India. Unfortunately they are the only available cable internet supporters suppliers At my location.

Pardon my angry post but I've been getting disconnects all week and one a few minutes ago (which ruined a game on xbox for me). Even though they came last month to "fix" the problem.

I think Comcast will win this time. EA hasn't had a chance this year to **** up too badly yet, while comcast has been pushing for that net neutrality bill and is abusing it as much as possible.
One of my favorite streamers even broadcast hours of helpdesk/support telephone calls, essentially laying bare the entire system of Comcast while trying to get his router (WHICH THEY BROKE FOR HIM) fixed.

And they left all this wire and plastic shit in my yard, everywhere. Ts..

the situation from what I understood:

He had a popular router which was supported by Comcast, but not their standard one.
Due to his extremely high internet usage (he streamed 43.5% of 2013) Comcast started throttling him. Supposedly it was an issue over at his house, so Comcast had a mechanic come. During the repair process they had reset the router to it's factory settings, which also meant it returned to a version so old that it wasn't supported by Comcast.

Comcast said call Motorola, Motorola said call Comcast.

what followed was about 3 weeks worth of service calls, during which the following was uncovered:

- Upon requesting Tier3 support one is sent back to Tier1 support from the philipines/India.
- Comcast has no Tier3 support
- Comcast employees have no idea there is no tier 3 support and genuinely think they're sending you to somebody higher up.
- All Comcast employees are required to give fake names on the phone.
- The Support staff has not actually been given proper tools to help people. The finance section (I think it was the finance section anyway..) has more control over the servers than the people that actually know what they're doing.
- Comcast departments have no direct connections with one another, they have to go through exactly the same protocol that regular customers do, including talking to tier1, requesting tier2, etc.
- If they can't fix your problem easily you may get put on some sort of blacklist.

That's all I can remember specifically.

Ffffff I'm not shocked by any of this, at all. I even asked to speak to a supervisor on 2 occasions and was asked "Why?". All of that seems pretty accurate to what I went through not too long ago and thanks for the link poehalcho. *Pulls on your cheeks* You're always so helpful!
