also apparently the entire military hates the XO now as well cause it has severe nation locking and the online requirement makes it unusable out at sea and wherever.

You can't really blame them of lying about graphics, because with proper optimization at least for now these consoles would easily be able to display the graphics. That was the whole point of consoles from the start. Offering people a guaranteed quality by giving them the same hardware.

At least for now, with the severe limiting of graphics the old generation forced upon us these games really aren't any special graphics-wise. they are better then the old generation but the new one should be able to support this much without issue.

Just today there was a topic on kotaku that showed the ps3 launch titles, boy did that look shitty

Just shows how much power devs managed to squish out of the current gen in the end.

So, I think at least for now (pre-console release) it's still ok to show it off using high end PC's (the games aren't even optimized for them).

Not really. It's a sneaky thing to do this though, but it's been done before at past E3s. Microsoft has their reason and I could guess the console isn't able to use, the PC is the dev kit, or they want to show off better graphics.

Yesterday I watched the Destiny footage and noticed they were using a PS4 (square for revive). Coming from the team that made games exclusive to xbox and xbox 360, I found this telling.

dom is simply saying that if you have to validate to connect, the odds of encountering issues connecting will occur. Live had this happened during one holiday season, but funny enough there won't even be that many xboxes connecting at once to cause such a server clog.

I do believe the Xbox is going to struggle during launch week and even further most likely.
