Depends on the ex really. My first long relationship (3 1/2 years) ended badly so we don't talk. One after that last for 3 months and we're still friends as it was mutual. Then my last relationship (2 1/2 years) is the mother of my son We don't really talk though, only when it has to do with my son. (btw, my last ex, is the one who was kidnapped and I made a thread about it )

The other one, for all I care he's dead! We were going to stay friends after we split up, as we were on and off for a few years and were friends as well. But I found out that he started seeing some girl that is 10 years younger then him, about a week after we split up. That was six months ago, I've just started a new relationship, and we're both very happy.

I kept in contact with my ex for a year or more and it was as if we never broke it off because we still did everything we used to do when we were official....just not as much... Breaking up has the effect of making you wanting the person more (depending on the situation) because now she is my girl again and has been for the past 4 years. I think tho if we had seen other people during our break up we wouldn't be together today. I guess we're meant to be.
