Need new mouse!
ive currently got a logitech MX400 and its starting to disconnect itself every so often... does anyone have any suggestions on new gaming mice?
i was thinking of the Razer Naga or Roccat Kone+... or do i just got back to logitech.
the mouse will be more so for mmo gaming but also needs to be ok for fps's i guess...
the price tag doesnt really matter as long as it isnt over $100
what would you guys suggest =D

Re: Need new mouse!
I can't imagine my life without my current mouse tbh. Logitech MX 510. The newer logitechs I just can't get used to. Already went wrong at MX 518 which is way too light and has a way too high base sensitivity that you have to adjust through extra programs cause it's unworkable anyways.
For me personally most gaming mice are overdoing it with through the roof levels of dpi which make the mouse way too sensitive. I'm sure there are some super elite gamers here that swear they hit everything because they now have 2k dpi, but that's not me. I prefer a heavy, slow, wired, precise, optical mouse.
If I had to buy something now, I'd buy this.

This will most likely be my next mouse. I'm intrigued by its customization to fit the users palm. Just turn a few nobs to extend or retract the individual parts.

Got an R.A.T. 7 atm myself, it's quite a nice mouse honestly i so got used to the palm and finger rests, the dual eye laser is quite useful for shooters as well in my opinion.

I have this and it's kind of gay. Regret selling my G500 to get the RAT. The G500 is the best mouse I've ever used, hands down.

Re: Need new mouse!
As someone who has never been able to make the switch from IR to Laser and bought discontinued IR mice or death adders, I must say that I am really Farking satisfied with my Razer Imperator.
One of my first gaming mice was the MX510. I used it so much that I wore down the bottom plastic on an angle so that the mouse was no longer level.
Spoiler!

Re: Need new mouse!
The most simple, cheapest, battery friendly, reliable wireless mouse I've ever owned: Logitech M305. The thing can live on 1 energizer battery for about 2 months on average. Never had any issues with it. It's durable and it's small enough to carry around. Not exactly a "gaming" mouse but what the hell, if you need more speed, increase the sensitivity.

Re: Need new mouse!
I'd suggest getting something that feels comfortable in your hand. I didnt notice a huge performance difference when I switched mouse, but I had to adjust to changing of the DPI.
From what I heard from the Naga is that the bottom row of macro keys is hard to use since they are positioned so low. Cant say anything from personnel experince, but read some generally good reviews.
I have a Razer DeathAdder ( newer edition )that has the plastic shell covering on the sides like the naga, which I dont like because it gets dirty very easily. The matte like finish on top though feels good.

Re: Need new mouse!
I have the Razer Deathadder and think it's brilliant. I like how darn simple it is, it's just a mouse with a left click, a right click, a wheel and 2 extra buttons if you really need them. 2. Just 2. One for your grenades or an extra skill or whatever. That's it.
I tried using one of those Naga's and thought is was so silly. 12 buttons? Damn, how tiny do you think my fingers are? What's wrong with the buttons on my keyboard? I thought it was way to complex and felt incredibly awkward in my hand, I hated it. the RAT that was posted looks, well, kind of silly. I won't post on how it feels or performs, I've never used one, but it just looks like they are trying to hard. It's just a mouse, seriously.
