phwoah I haven't seen you round in a while. not since the Rome forum days.
Re: hello
sorry it took me a while to respond, no, i am not back in prison. lol. I was fighting with the same charge for a good amount of time, i did a total of 14 months incarcerated. I did not make any new music while i was in haha. however, i have decided to change my musical style, and i will be posting some new songs soon. i have one that i have been working on recently, however my current hardware on my pc is not good at all, and my actual dj equiptment has been gone for quite a while, looking forward to getting my life back, and i am doing very well.
in the best shape of my life, and looking forward to moving on!
Thanks to all of my old friends for the warm welcome, and satman, you may find that i have changed quite a bit, however my witty banter will continue, so if that is what your comment was directed at, YES, it will indeed be a very exciting holiday season. hehehe. *evil grin*
i lost the account info to my old SRO account, and i assume that the game has changed so drastically that i may not recognize it, however i will continue to lurk around the otl, as it has long been one of my favorite places on my all-time favorite forum.
I was in on possession of a controlled substance, to be specific. It was for less than a quarter gram of heroin that i was caught with in the beginning of 2009, i was fighting with the charge, and drug court, ended up being arrested multiple times on violations of drug court, did 7 months in county before i was sent to Nevada Department of Corrections.
however i feel that the experience did me a great deal of good, and i worked on not only my physical body, but also my mind, and i think that i am better from the experience.
sorry to be long winded. love you all.
i will be around from here on out, as i can never leave this forum... permanently that is.
peace out. -Jason

Re: hello
I'm actually pretty curious about how prison life was? All I ever see is National Geographic's hardest prisons and all that stuff, I'm curious what it's really like. Do you really have to 'gang up' or stay with your own race, don't snitch and obey the rules from the baddest felons?
Could you fill us in on how life was in prison? Not just that you've returned a better person -which is great btw- but just day to day stuff.

honestly, i do not believe very many people "learn their lesson" in prison. yes it was in the united states. Nevada Department of Corrections. I was at Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
most of the people there are not good people, obviously... and they hardly ever do anything except get out and continue doing the same shit that they were doing before, however, there are a few of us who actually take prison as a deterrent from ever doing anything that could potentially land us back there.
Some people actually like it in prison, i, however, amd not one of those. I was mislead by many people in jail telling me that i should just "do my time" in prison and get my charge over with as opposed to continuing my drug court program. In retrospect, i should have just competed the program, but like i said, i believe that everything happens for a reason, and i would not change anything, as it has taught me a lot, and i am better from the experience.
some people are the type that can just hear about things that are unsavory, and thus, never do them themselves. I am the type that must experience things in order to know how they are exactly, and i think that is one of the reasons that i took the first charge of my life all the way to the very end... being prison.
on another note, working on a new song, my hardware is lacking tremendously, however, i can at least try with what i have, which is basically nothing... but check it out anyway. hehehe...

well, prison life i believe is glamorized a lot in the stupid prison shows... however there are basic rules which you must follow, no snitching, and no kickin' it with the child molesters being a must... lol..
i got in 3 fights while i was in there, one over someone annoying the hell out of me, being a sex offender, and then calling me a bitch, bad move on his part. i won that one. another was my cell mate who called me a snitch over some stupid shit, that was also a bad move on his part, he was cowering in the corner when i was done with him. (usually i am not a violent person, but if you show any weaknesses, or let anyone call you stupid shit, and do nothing (violently) about it, then you get labelled, and you don't want that.)
the whole prison society is a whole different world, it is totally bazaar. it is like being trapped back in the 80's. CD players are not only used, but coveted, and sticking with your own race is a must. I have never been racist, but i have learned a lot about why people in prison are for the most part, some really stupid shit happens a lot...
for the best part of my time there, i learned to just keep to myself, and work on myself. I did a lot of writing poetry, drawing, and reading about different types of spirituality. If you keep to yourself, you will have the easiest time.
i do not recommend getting all tattoo'd up with swasticas and becoming ultra WHITE POWER... however, a lot of people do.
it is Farking insane in there, it is really strange what living with all guys all the time, for an extended period does to certain people. gossip and lies run rapid... insanity really, the whole thing... insanity.
