I think the law got it wrong in this case. Sure, the guy had a criminal past and did just so happen to be in possession of a metal rod, but they assaulted him physically and proceeded to jump over the counter and pursue him. Hell, if someone slapped me and jumped over my desk at work I'd sure as all hell give them a piece of my mind. They provoked the incident and based off what I can see, the law got it all wrong here.

I don't see how the employee's criminal past is even relevant, or the fact that he keeps going when the challenging guy goes down.

The guy that jumped over the counter might have been getting up behind that counter when the eomployee keeps hitting him, you don't know that because you can't see.

Fact is he got hit first and the guy jumped over the counter and chased him, clearly looking for a fight. He wasn't gonna stop, and I agree with Love here. Keep him down by either telling him or making him, until the cops arrive.

If someone hits me, i walk away then she and her friend hop over the counter obviously coming to attack me, i would have done the same except with a thicker metal rod.

I doubt he would have gotten in any trouble if he didnt have a criminal record before this.
