did a rough test of 20 songs (40 total) and called ~60% not too bad. Of course some of it is in my head but I'd say I was actually able to identify a good amount.
Now of course this wasn't a totally unbiased test as there could be other things throwing off the results and as I said it was a rough test nothing serious. whether or not I can actually tell FLAC apart from V0 I'll still keep my FLACs and my illusions.

OT:

About a third is FLAC, most is V0 (some from the OiNK days). I've listened to almost all of it, but my iTunes library is never above ~4k songs.

Thanks for that. I keep telling myself to use foobar again but SongBird has been doing a fine job and configuring foobar is usually a huge pain, lots of components are outdated or linked to a non existent webpage.

This reminds me..If anyone is interested in their music collection, statistics about it and such I really recommend getting a last.fm account (free) and scrobbling your music. It's also a nice way to find related music.

It's hard to calculate how many songs/albums I have. It's like 27 GB on my home PC, several songs in lossless format, additionally 10-15 old CDs left from my younger years.

So I got around dumping my CDs on my PC and I'm around 2.3k songs.

I'm sitting about about 9k songs after (multiple) library losses. I tend to clean out and narrow down my library though.
I'll buy local stuff if I can but usually I just try get to shows to support them.

I have my singles folder which has 353 songs, and my albums folder which has 2748 songs
