Stress before a party.

Maybe it's just me, but I always have that little "stress" feeling a couple hours before a party. I'm not socially awkward or anything, don't really know how to explain the feeling. I know my friend has it too. I think it's because I don't know what to expect from the night or something like that. Once I'm at the party though, the feeling totally dissapears.

Any tricks on reducing this stress thing?

I am probably not the best person to offer advise but I would suggest to just let yourself be nervous, nothing wrong with it, hopefully over time the problem will go away.

What's to be stressed about? Alcohol, drugs, friends. Hell, parties are awesome.

If there was a trick to reduce stress and make you feel more comfortable I think we'd all have found out about it. I'd be happy 24/7 if that was the case. But there is no trick.

I know the feeling, like this little feeling next to the area near the lungs. It's normal, I just embrace it, when I'm arriving at the party I get a shiver through my body then I just enjoy it and chill.

It's normal and nothing bad really, we all get nervous.

Beer > liquor IMO (except vodka-jello and coffee-bayleys)

But yeah, the stress can also be excitement. I know that before a big party/night i'll be excited which is a feeeling similar to stress.

It depends.. If the party is being held at my house, can be a bit stressful.
Otherwise, Nah

Well, Try to relax before going to a party and give yourself plenty of time.
"Being rushed" It creates additional stress you don't need before a party. Really!

just pregame and that will take the edge right off, also you wont care if your "late". Last year i always went to parties with girls from my hall and they would not be ready to leave until 11pm when im ready at like 9pm. I hated waiting that long and was so impatient so i would go to a friends room and pregame until they were ready to walk over to where the party was at.
