Some different shit in America. In the Netherlands a man (cop) killed a 12 year old girl and sexually abused her and he only got 18 years :(
He's also sentenced to indefinite 'pysch ward', but you can get weekends off and other freedoms when you have that. Sad shit.

Why is anyone even mentioning the money? She lost 18 years of her life because of this man and his wife. I'm 21 myself and couldn't imagine spending nearly all of my life so far being trapped in someone elses house, subject to rape and torture and having to bear his children. Seriously, this entire case is sick and the money is chicken feed. No amount of money can restore her life, no amount of money can erase those memories. Imagine how terrible her life would of been, waking up every day for 18 years without having the slightest bit of hope of escape, freedom or a life outside of their grips. It would be, in all actuality, hell. What she went through is so much worse than a life sentence in jail. I couldn't imagine a reality that is worse than what she went through.

As to the person talking about her name being realised, I heard on the TV that she is releasing a book detailing her ordeal. Clearly she doesn't care all too much about remaining seclusive about this sort of thing.
