I hate doing this as it means I admit defeat to my cause, but none the less.
Over the last few days my iPod has basically decided to stop working. Half way during a Sync it decided that it would no longer be recognised by iTunes and froze iTunes completely. Anyway, I did a manual reformat of the iPod and went through the restore process. But still my iPod isn't recognised by iTunes and continues to make iTunes simply not respond. I've tried connect it with both Sharepod and Floola but the same process happens. Sharepod simply doesn't recognise the iPod as being connected and Floola freezes and doesn't respond.
Although the most infuriating part of this entire scenario is that I can still manually access the iPod as a storage device via windows explorer. Erg.
Anyone had a similar issue or know of any work around methods? Help would be greatly appreciated, I'm almost ready to throw it in the bin and buy a non-apple media player >_>

While we're at a help thread.. Why in the hell does my ipod wants to keep restoring it, because it is 'corrupt' and then after it does and I put music on it, it decides to do the same thing.
Fucking apple.
@op is youre itunes up to date? That happened to me before where it went all retarded because the ipod was up to date and itunes wasn't.
