I've got a regular 30" TV that I've been using to play all my PS3 games on and I also have a 21.5" monitor (can support 1080p) that I've been using as an extra screen for my laptop. Would it be worth the smaller screen size to get a better picture in games like Black Ops and Madden? Also, it won't always be me, sometimes people switching off.
I would test it myself but I don't have an HDMI cable and don't feel like buying one since I can get one for free when I go back home for my next break.
quality i was supprised when i seen it but you can notice a difference right off the bat if you go hd over sd but end of the day im happy with sd so i dont have a hdmi cable but if you can get one
it's worth it man. the extra details you see and the sharper picture make the game look alot better. i suggest you buy yourself a decent 32''/37'' Full HD tv. they're really affordable now, even in Holland you can get them for like 250/300 euro's. it's not worth havind hd on an 21.5'' screen. but once you get a big screen, you'll see it's worth it and btw, hdmi cables are like 5 bucks now, so you can get one if you want.

Yes it is. I used to play on my 24" computer screen over my 32" tube tv up until I bought myself a 32" LCD during black friday. And I'll tell you it looks far much better in 720/1080 mode.
If being a loser means not playing Silkroad all day.. lulwut?
if it's an older monitor, it may have a high response time which causes ghosting and screen lag. But if it's 5ms or lower, then it's a million times better then playing on an old tube tv.
I went from a like 25" tube to a 32" LCD full HD and it is insanely better. But yes you will need a screen with low response time. Turning up the brightness also helps to see more =p
Anyone else think playing Ops on a 22" monitor beats playing on any other size. I have a 32" LED TV and when I play on it I don't do so hot... then I have the 46" in the living room... That just completely sucks and its LCD. The bigger the screen the more your eyes have to travel to find what's around you. Like the ladies say, smaller is better!
my Monitor is only 720p cuz I'm a cheap ass lol, but the pic is much better than my SD. Although I have one of the latest SD's made so it's still pretty high quality picture. It's doesn't compare to 1080p though. Not by a long shot.
