Seen the movie, don't really believe in the law of attraction.
Obviously if you want something enough you can get it though, if you want that one car really badly you can put a picture of it on your desk to motivate yourself to 'work' towards it, that's in no way some kind of magic though.

The quotes are often fairly general quotes took out of any context.
If you want to be a billionare badly and think of it exactly as you 'should' according to this movie, you'll still get nowhere if you sit on your ass hoping for it >.<
If you're a positive guy who does his work well, who got fired from his job his there was a huge reorganisation within his department, or because his company goes bankrupt, it obviously is not your fault xD

There is a general truth in this, but not in the way they describe it. It's much less spiritual. It comes down to: If you want something done, do something about it. Thinking about something will get you to do something. And depending on how you think about it the effect will be different:
"Oh man, I better not drop this thing" --> Drop it!
"Good thing I'm good at balancing" --> No drop.

It kinda comes down to Murphy's laws and positive thinking
But you still won't get anywhere without any action on your side.

I get what you're saying. When i have math class, i always hope not to be called to the board, and i always do, but when im calm,and just, not thinking about anything, its OK. Of course, it seems silly, its kinda weird, but i don't believe in shit that isn't proven, dunno, i just hate when someone says something, without any proof, and millions of people think the same.

This, exactly. Nothing mysterious about it. They just made a book and film out of a completely normal thing, added some drama and some cool sounds and history and they sold millions. But well, I guess people want to be cheated, lol.

Anyway, we've heard a speech about exactly what you said at my school once too. Here is another example:
1) You want a new bike so badly, but you don't know how to get it as you have no job.
2) Because you want the bike a lot, you can't really stop thinking about that bike and eventually sooner or later you'll tell your family or friends about the fact that you wish you could afford this new bike.
Maybe one of the persons you tell this to, knows a place where you can get a job, which then after a two months period will have gained you enough money to buy the bike.

That's basically how it is. It's not something you have to "Think about and concentrate" about, as the film says it. It's completely normal and it happens whether you notice it or not. It's basically the same thing that happens to people that becomes depressive:
1) You're extremely sad due to some reason (maybe a death, maybe you're lethally ill - something).
2) You start thinking about your illness (for example) and during your days in your bed, you will (at some point) start thinking about everybody else you know who's ill or died from their illness.
3) Now you'll get even more sad and you've arrived at the black circle of depression.
As you can see, it's the same thing.

IF the depressed person had had a more "light" point of view, they we've thought about all the people who SURVIVED their lethal illness, and all the doctors who are doing their best to help you, and they might never have gotten depressed.


I hope you get my point, which is: The movie's ground/main message is NOT incorrect. Everything about the whole religious and mysterious is very incorrect though (And yes, I'm saying that as a religious person!). They simply added that to make people buy the film, which kinda reminds me of Nicolas Cages "National Treasure" (great film).
