I all of sudden got the urge to get a PSP (yes, very random indeed) and was looking up on the PSP3000. It seems that at its launch in 2008 it had some screen issues (unnatural colours, scanlines and interlacing, etc.). Sony blamed it on the older games that can't keep up with its new hardware back then. So now we are in 2010, 2 years after the launch of 3000, has the screen issues been mitigated by the newer games that came out?
also... is discussion on jailbreaking allowed here?

screen quality should be fine, I used to be big in the PSP scene, and I never heard to much about it. Homebrew and such should be allowed here as long its not "stealing" games, i dont know how to HEN the devices nowadays but meh
