National Geographic

Post by dom »

I just subscribed, first time I have ever subscribed to a magazine. When I was 8-12 my dad bought me aviation magazines but that was a long time ago.

I never realized how cheap they are, I always though it would be expensive. Reason for my post is because National Geographic is having a sale and I thought I should share:

15.00 USD / 20.00 CAD for 12 months

I'm thinking of picking up Esquire and Hockey News - they're cheap if you buy them through Rogers.

They could give out magazines for free because they make a large majority of their money from advertisers, but that would lower the perceived value of the advertisements. Once someone told me that I cried a little.

Whenever I see those I'm always amazed at how ridiculously (perhaps unnecessarily) high their photo resolutions are (much better than a straight up porn magazine and certainly better than most pix on the internet), probably worth more than the subscriptions to buy those photos by themselves. My school has magazines in all the lounges so it's pretty nice.
