Counter strike source/Steam help

I put in my CD Key for counter strike source at steam and the download was going smooth and then when i wanted to play, it never showed up in my games list...just in the programs, but i thought, ok, i'll just play from here, and I clicked CS:S and once i clicked it....nothing. Nothing happened at all, kept trying but gave up. So i uninstalled the game. I wanna try it again but Steam won't take my CS:S key again...I sent an e-mail to them but no response yet. Can any of you guys help?

By the way, does anyone know the reason why I clicked Counter Strike and it never loaded?

Umm maybe try adding a game to steam -> go to CS:S.

Well now you've uninstalled it but that's what you should've tried :\

you should have in your games list counter strike source if you had downloaded and inputed correct cd-key for it, you ever played it before this happened?

this is the first game in this steam account.

well the custom is to install steam, install css, input cd-key and play, i'd try uninstalling all, if it does not work, you can always download CSS instead of installing it, its what i did after buying it online. if all of those dont work i'll guess you have to wait for valve's mail
