Growing longer hair as a man

I'm trying to grow my hair a bit longer, but I don't really know what to do with it. I used to have like medium-short hair with a parting, and I kinda kept that while trying to grow my hair.
But now it's just getting out of hand. I'm currently at like ~10cm or ~4inch and it's like a helmet of hair.

Maybe I should thin it or something, but I'm thinking that if I cut it I will have to start all over again.
Any of you ever grew their hair, and what kind of model did you use while growing it?

It took 7-8 months but meh, my hair is slow =(

Trust me you dont wanna long hair. I had long hair 9 years, its pain in the ass. But if you really want it, just let it grow.

Used to have a thick, tight ponytail... Almost mid-back lenght. It was the sexiest haircut ever, kinda miss it sometimes. Easy to maintain, never got in the way, hot as hell.

The problem with short hair is that you need to keep cutting it in order to keep it short... Long hair stays long without cutting. (now a 1cm haircut)

Just let it grow wild until you can get it to some real shape.

Getting long hair, is truly a hassle to work with, and it may get old doing your hair over and over everyday. Though, when i started straightening my hair i got way more offers to be some1s BF, then when i had curly hair. i have mediumish hair, idk how to describe it, i cant measure it cause its curly right now lol. But the gf doesnt really mind it.

I have my hair cut very short (not completely shaven.. but short) every 6 weeks or so. Any longer than that and i get so pissed off in the morning.

If you grow your hair out, get it cut every 3 months or so, just to keep it healthy. Also when you get your hair cut regularly, your hair will grow back faster.

I never understood the logic, your making it shorter....
Cutting the ends of your hair will not make it grow longer faster...

Or am I the only one that see's something wrong with that logic?

Your hair is not a plant - cutting it won't spurt growth

No but long hair tends to have splitting ends.
So cutting the ends is a good thing.

I don't want super long hair, just long enough for it to reach under my chin. Right now its above my nose =/

The back is longer than the front by about 2 inches, I'm not even kidding, I don't know how that happened
