Really didn't do anything I'd classify as being overly heroic in terms of "challenging" others to one-up 'im. He was just unlucky to be in an accident that left him paralyzed that eventually lead to his death.

There's a shit ton of other similar stories we wouldn't state "do better" simply because they weren't in the military. It's kinda ridiculous where you went with it once you take that into perspective...

Like was stated earlier: we see the point, but the story doesn't properly deliver.
