Firefox all the way.
Chrome > 5 tabs open > at least 1 crash per hour.
Chrome > 5 tabs open > at least 1 crash per hour.

My chrome never crashed, used it for like 2-3 months and it never crashed and I always have like 6 tabs open all the time. Changed back to FF a couple days ago.

Re: This is why YOU shouldn't use Internet Explorer
you got to relativise.
sure most of the security issues are being found in IE, because all the hackers are trying to find security problems in IE, since the vast majority of the people use IE. it's no use to find a security breach in Chrome at this moment. only a few people are using chrome atm. so it's harder for Microsoft than for Google to secure their browser, as their browser is being attacked much more than Google's.

No, not exactly. While IE stil holds a large share of the browser market, its the fact that Internet Explorer itself is basically integrated into Windows, and that makes it an especially attractive target. There are exploits in IE that are able to give the hacker full (or mostly full) access to your computer. ActiveX only works on Internet Explorer and are very dangerous by their nature. This little gem can basically allow malicious sites to install malware or spyware to your computer. Google Chrome (and any other browser), on the other hand, is its own separate application altogether so any malicious attack inflicted upon it will be much easier to spot and eliminate.
The only thing Internet Explorer is good for is for downloading Firefox or Chrome. IE is just a bad browser in general. It's outdated by web standards, riddled with compatibility and security issues, and not to mention it has a very unflattering UI to boot. (That last one could be just me though)

I'll agree and disagree.
there's one thing that IE is better at than other browsers.
It can open any page and play it the way it's supposed to be. I've made a site that apparantly didn't work in the least on ff (my bad, ok) but it work just fine on IE. lots of pages I see aren't compatible with Opera either =/.

IE is notorious for having poor compatibility. Most web devs use IE for the sole purpose of checking to see if their website doesn't fudge up in IE, as they usually tend to do. Hell, even some websites made for IE8 aren't compatible with IE6.

okay perhaps I chose the wrong words saying "open it the way it's supposed to be". but it does almost always open them. which I have experienced both ff and opera to have trouble with.
but w/e
I use opera and I'm quite happy with it.

Some websites perform a check, sometimes just checking your User Agent string, to see if you're using IE. If you're not, it "fails to show the page" by generating an "IE Only" error. These pages that supposedly only work in IE... if you change your User Agent to "claim" you are using IE, the website works just fine. At least on a lot of the sites it does, e.g., silkroadonline.net.
We all know IE is not standards compliant. Microsoft comes up with their own standards and claims that other browsers don't follow "the" standard.

Apparently not everyone, considering Chrome's website is blocked at my work and the app isn't on the 'allowed' list of software we can use.

This stuff got me thinking about being a hacker. Man that must be awesome if you're like 24 Chloe pro.
I don't wanna go NuclearSilo on your ass, but I'd like to check what's what at the pentagon for sure. Entire world at your feet if you're the best hacker in the world.

Well I guess you've heard of 24, if not: it's a TV show focusing about a (usually) potential terrorist attack against the US. Jack Bauer is a special agent from CTU (counter terrorist unit) and he usually single handedly eliminates the entire terrorist network and defuses the bomb in the meantime with his toes.
Though, he can't do all of this without the help of his colleague, Chloe. Chloe is a super pro and hacks into everything. If there's nothing to hack into she will make it, and then hack into it, just because she can.
Basically, Jack Bauer is the modern day equivalent of Chuck Norris, while Chloe is like a female Chuck Norris. Though, being a female forfeits her from being as awesome as a Chuck Norris equivalent in physical shape. That's why she makes the best of it as female, her powers are unlimited through the computer, almost as unlimited as Jack and Chuck's physical power in real life. (Yes, there are degrees in 'unlimited')
So she hacks into satellite feeds, computers and everything that you can imagine being hackable (or unhackable, she hacks it all!). With her hacks she supports Jack so he knows where the terrorists are, so their chance of survival actually goes into the minus. (Without Chloe's help their chance of survival is 0)
So yeah, she's pro.
