Thats because Linux is more of a work/organisation OS... No one can really "appreciate" them because we mostly use our Home PC that uses Windows <3

You can download a LiveCD of FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD for free last I checked. OpenSolaris and Solaris 10 are also free to download. So all you need to do is get your hands on any old or new PC. Perhaps some proprietary version of Unix on a DEC Alpha or SPARC system or something is overpriced.

Windows? Don't make me laugh. The only office that uses a windows system is one that is not related to anything important.
There are plenty of organizations out there who use Windows, whether desktop, server, or embedded, for mission critical systems.
Personally, I think it's a bad idea, and even Microsoft's EULA if I'm not mistaken states that their software is not to be used for systems that can have an impact on 'life or limb'. That's just there so that if someone gets killed using Microsoft software, Microsoft can just point at their EULA and say "we told the developers not to use it. It's not our fault".
