Injuries
Hey guys,
I'm just curious do you guys have an injuries you are nursing right now? If so, is it annoying and does it require anything to heal?
Also, what has been your worst every injury?
Right now, I have a jarred right-hand-middle-finger (I'm right handed) from cricket, it is pretty annoying as it is strapped to the middle finger next to it and the middle joint hurts a lot.
Probably the worst injury I have ever gotten was two months ago, I severely strained my wrist and it took a month and a half to heal with a cumbersome brace.
Thoughts?

Re: Injuries
I've never had anything broken or even anything that required a doctor at all.
I guess it's partly because of the insane amount of milk I drink

Broke my nose last week after i got punched in the face (i was very drunk). Doesnt hurt though unless i touch it and its not that noticeable so i dont care.
Apart from that.. err had some teeth knocked out which actually hurt a lot!
Never broken any decent sized bones.

Re: Injuries
My back is sore as balls from too much weightlifting, nothing else.

The best way out - is through.
Re: Injuries
I broke the little toe on my left foot once. I was chasing my sis around the table for the remote and I smashed it into the cabinet the tv was on. But I was pretty young so it healed fast.
And another time I dropped a gymbank (see below) with the part where is stand on the ground on my foot. Couldn't wear my shoe for like 3 weeks.

Re: Injuries
Broke my leg in 7th grade - both fibula and tibia were broken. Brok my collar bone 1 and a half year ago. Also, broke my rib once and had quite a few stitches on my head a few times. I'm actually lucky I don't have more injuries cause I did some pretty crazy and foolish stuff

Re: Injuries
Not really an injury, but I do have problems with ingrown toenails. Not sure how but they just..... appear. Been on 3 surgeries for them so far, but I fear there's gonna be 4 or 5 in total when I'm done with it. I still have it, doesn't hurt that much, the only thing troubling me is that I have to put get aid and bandages every day. Otherwise I'd had a pus-blood soaked smelly sock.
Oh, and don't be deceived by it.... it may not sound like much, but it can definitely hurt. A lot

Re: Injuries
You've probably already heard it, but try to pay attention when you cut your toenails. I think you're supposed to cut them straight and not curved to prevent ingrown nails.
But yeah, kinda fail doctors if they haven't told that already, but you never know.

Re: Injuries
I've been told that right after my first surgery. The doctor also said that it's genetic, and true it is cause my mom had the same problems. The problem is, the part he cut out just started growing again, nothing much I could do.

Re: Injuries
I have a cut, on my hand. I put a band aid on it, i'll prolly change it or take it off later. It hurts if I poke it. lol
Only thing I ever had broken was the tip of my first finger, I shot it with a bb gun, I thought it was empty, and I was little lol ¬.¬.
Worst injury was when I was little, I was gonna stay the night at a friends, when I went into his place his big dog came at me and bit me in the face(dunno why), had to get a bunch of stitches right in my cheek, and wear a big bandage taped to it for a bit, still have a bit of the scar.

Re: Injuries
I fractured my right pinky toe about a year ago, other than that, nothing severe.

Re: Injuries
I've broken my leg, every bone in my hand (more than once), and my T1 vertebrae has a process snapped off.
I still deal with the fracture in my back everyday, it effects my legs and hips. They tend to stop working randomly T_T
I've had some fun painkillers for it though

Re: Injuries
Worst for me was when i was working 2 summers ago, i cut the top part of my thumb with one of those huge meat slicers....
Hurt a little bit...
The worse was when they tried to stitch it back together.. they numbed me 5 times, i felt all the 4 stitches go in and out of the wound... IT WAS HORRIBLE
worst pain in my life so far... especially that your extremities have the most feelings in your body! ugh pain

Sometimes I pinch my left testicle when I sit down or move around awkwardly in my chair; or even sometime it's just the way my boxers are settled in my pants.

My back is sore as balls from being curled up in front of my computer close to 20 hours a day.
But I've never had a serious injury, once I had to get 4 stitches just above my left eye.

Re: Injuries
I've broken my left shoulder once when I decided to test some skating in a halfpipe after 1½ years break.
and got 4 stitches in my left leg when I tried a new trick down from a 5 step stair, the board popped up and smashed right into my leg. Wasnt that far from the hostipal so it was just to walk down there, but damn it hurted.
My worst injuries so far.
