Ramadan

Post by PhoenixRider »

Ramadan starts this morning. For those who want to know what it's about, it's when Muslims don't eat nor drink or do/say anything bad from sunrise to sunset, you are also encouraged to give to Muslim charities. There are many reasons for this, one of which is so you can understand how people feel on the other side of the world. For me in the mountain time region, it just started.

I just know I'm gonna be sleeping most of the day and most of my friends are going to be asses and talk about food the entire time with them.

So good luck to any other Muslim out there.

You know the fact that he called an object "the god" is pretty blasphemous, right?

And I must add that 4chansuckslol.

im a muslim.. but im also 20 years old now and have been studying science / medicine.. and day by day i keep losing faith in allah. my sister was only 28 years old and she died from cancer. it makes you wonder what type of god would do that to a family let alone a person..

so this ramadan i will not be participating.. and im probably going to renounce my religion because in my eyes.. god does not exist anymore.

That's legit. I was a devout Catholic for the 1st 16 years of my life.

No, its not legit. Blaming God for the death of a family member is ridiculous. Do you really believe that just because you practice a religion God will somehow give you immunity to any sort of disaster or catastrophe? Hell no. What about soldiers who die in war? How come God doesn't protect them?

God exists. But he doesn't do anything for us. He's just there.

In that case he's pretty damn useless.

Go sit down kid, no one really cares. Good job at trying to get attention, there's a lot here that feels the same way, no one says anything.

Im just sitting here and dont know how or where to begin with.
Once a man told me, you are formed from your memories, experiences, from the feelings you felt during these events of your life.
If thats true, your sister is with you. In every moment, within your reminiscences.
Its very hard to face... life. Most ppl close their eyes and behave selfish like they vere immortals.
But let me quote from a man who has beutifull thoughts.
"Once is too late, you appretiate what a miracle life is.
You realize that nature is ruthless and our existence is very fragile.
Temporary and precious.
But to go on your daily affairs you cant really think about that.
...Which is probably why everyone takes the world for granted and why we act so thoughtlessly.
Its very confusing.
I suppose it will all make sense when we grow up."
As you grow and mature... you face life as it is.
Its cruel, but not always... ppl leave you but in turn you have your memories... experiences. If you realise and accept, your and others life is limited... maybe you can find peace for your hearth.
If you find peace, you will find Allah again.

Good job at flaming for no reason, if you don't have anything to say that is related to the thread, don't. I don't care about your opinion unless it has to do something about the thread

I find it all depends on what is right for YOU.
Up until the age of 10 I was raised Catholic, then moved to the states and started going to a Christian church. After about a year of blah I am now Wiccan. My mother(specifically) isn't comfortable with the idea, but she understands that it works best for ME.
I respect your month of fasting. :) Hope you're not tempted by the "thisiswhyyou'refat" topic :P

Well, it's just my opinion, you don't have to like it or call anybody stupid, it's just that all the threads that have to do with religion should be locked cause it's always the same flame fest
