But I'll bite anyway because this is seriously one of my favorite debate topics Violence begets violence, and acknowledgment of our activities abroad does not mean I approve of the response. Justifications are made on both sides, I am merely pointing them out. We have done some really terrible things abroad since the end of World War II, and it's created us a lot of enemies. Owning up to our foreign policy decisions is pretty important imo.

I was not referring specifically to your posts Ryoko, but since you responded I'll say this: western education fails woefully when it comes to the Middle East and world history. There were several posts in this thread that caught my eye as not having a full grasp on the history in the region, and how past events are influencing present ones. I stand by my previous assumption that many people in this thread do not know about our foreign policy decisions in the past, and their ignorance of such events would lead to a distorted opinion on this topic.

We worship the one and only "God".There is only ONE god..no other bullshit elephant or other wierd ass gods. And since you say u dont worship the same god as ours please explain which god you worship? The major differences between these religions such as Catholicism and Christianity and Islam is primarily the beliefs about the prophets, "Jesus", and some other stuff.

While I'm not trying to call you conceited eagle, your post shows a little ignorance on these facts. Don't base your posts purely on emotion, and don't be blinded by your religion so much that you look over the facts that lay right in front of your eyes.

God has many names; God, Allah, Jehovah, Heavenly Father, Brahman, etc. The only differences are in the "texts" that the religions follow. The things that apparently existed well into the past, which we are just supposed to believe were not made up. The only true difference between the religions lies in these documents of "truth".

Even Baro mentioned it, if you can interpret his Greek and Roman God.

I gave up on the topic because people weren't responding -.- I enjoy a good debate and on most subjects I'm completely emotionally detatched, though I have a feeling some posters are personally offended by my remarks or the way in which I make them. Srs subjects and discussion call for srs research, and I try to do mine before I open my mouth. Years of grad level symposiums will do that to you, and getting called out on undocumented or unsubstantiated bullshit is part of the game

Ever get into a casual conversation, and the other person is all serious business once its politics, or disagreeance of ones views? And they get all hardcore waging their points trying to convince you, and your backing up away from them trying to disengage, but they keep stepping forward and keep talking anyway? Then you check your invisible watch as a subtle hint and they still dont get it?

Same difference. And the fact someone doesnt want to engage, or even discuss the shit in srs ways doesnt automatically make the other person a superior intellectual. A persons intelligence or education level isnt weighed on whether or not they enjoy pointless political debates that don't change anything.
