I like the thought of joining the marines cause their pretty kick ass. I'd probably be an officer of some sort. On the other hand, you get shipped out everywhere and they die a lot.

The Air Force seems cool to me because flying helicopters and jets seems awesome. And the casulty rate for the air force isn't that high.

The Secert Service is just one I threw out there. How the heck do you get into it? I have no idea. But it'd be nice all the same.

At least being Marine or AirForce you can safe your butt in someway.

Well the Secret Service isn't even a branch of the US Military. It is a part of the Department of Homeland Security. The Secret Service used to be part of the Department of the Treasury back in 2003.

sorry to disappoint you, but to fly the planes you gotta do the officer candidate school to start off. As for falling off the ship, not likely. I was in the Navy 9 years ago, and unless you're drunk coming back to the ship and just wanna jump over; that's the only way.

Being stuck on a boat forever would suck. Granted they are ginormous. Also, their uniforms are gay. Marines are sexy though.

Who said you'd be flying? Less than 1% of personnel in the USAF are pilots...good luck with that

Kirkaldi's right...and mirosuke I hope you were thinking when you posted. SS isn't involved in direct combat - its definitely the safest of the three listed. How often is a US congressman/woman or the President assaulted?

Im still stuck on Not so Great Lakes, IL. Im going FC so im still going thru my assload of schooling.

I take it you havent seen the new uniforms.

Thats the new digis. The utilities we wear now suck, were currently switching over. The blue cammo is so they cant find us if we fall overboard lol!

what? they changed uniforms? wow, it has been a long time. I was lucky enough to be wearing the dungarees lol. Gotta love those bell bottoms, then switched to coveralls which were cool. Good luck on being FC, you'll realize what you'll actually be doing when you get on the fleet :banghead:

And they are constantly changing uniforms. I think its just a way for them to keep more of our money. Because of course they give us an allowance for them, but its not enough lol.

Im in ATT now(pre-A School) and what im learning is complex electronics and test equipment. Ive got till july 27th ish for this then A school then more ATT. Then C school. Im going to be in school forever!!!
