It like think that god exist,if you beleive in "god"then you should believe in all that ghost,magic etc...

Of course Ghost exist if you think this,they wil appear for you,you got a brain problem which make them exist and then you will be scared or whatever.

If your logical they not.

When you see some video show ghost it isn't,it's not brain problem neither.
It can be a fake,like camera uncleaned like logical problem(earth + -,wind etc..),the more common is when you think there is a ghost in your home,but it just some car with there light on at night reflected by the window.

I wasn't direct to you. I talk to the one who mentioned that whoever believes in spirits has to do with "psychology", "lunatic" or "illusional problem", etc... it's clearly he is talking about a mental trouble here...

I implied that you have delusional beliefs; then again, not every delusion calls for medical help. Otherwise, from a fact-based point-of-view, every clinic, hospital, and mental institution in the world will be packed with theists.

But what it all boils down to is what you see from your standpoint. One person might interpret a specific event as "paranormal" and another one might conclude that it has an explanation based on the natural laws. You can claim that God(s), ghosts, the bogeyman, and tooth fairies exist simply based on the absence of evidence that they don't exist (or that they do exist) - it's a fallacy based on pre-existing schemata people obtained, most likely, during their childhood from ghost stories and too much "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and, sadly for some, Ghost Hunters.

All in all, this "debate" might as well be about the Invisible Pink Unicorn (which I happen to believe in. lulz.), God(s), the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the Celestial Teapot and the magical 6-foot rodent who only eats bum feces with corn on a full moon every 120 years somewhere in Utah.

Bleh, sure why not. I've been "possessed" before, and have seen my share of "spirits," or whatever you may call it. I've also been witness to a poltergeist(one of the times I got "possessed").
Its interesting to see what people believe on this subject...so far I've encountered:

1. Ghosts(Most commom)
2. Our own "psychic" abilities(When they're out of whack)
3. Non-linear time(Meaning, we see another point in time)
4. Earth's "energy"(Earth basically visually affecting what we see with its "force")

IMO, if my belief hasn't been proven, but works and manifests itself in a way that I am sure of the latter, then it matters not if others instill those beliefs in themselves.

IMO, if my belief hasn't been proven, but works and manifests itself in a way that I am sure of the latter, then it matters not if others instill those beliefs in themselves.

I was under the impression that once you're possessed, you have to be somehow exonerated (is that the right word?)

deads dont know about us. cant communicate, cant appear. deads are dead, and wont come to life again in other forms, shapes or other persons. i hardly believe if theres any kind of life after death, what would be really unfair, once our kind of "life" after death would be "earned" by the few years we lived here.

Nobody really knows if there isn't life after death? Whose to say if that is just it, once we're dead, we're dead? Whose to say there isn't a heaven, that when we are dead our souls go to heaven, but on the odd occasion we get stuck between this world and the other. I know there isn't prof that there is ghosts, but also there isn't prof that there isn't.

A number of times I've felt a presence when there wasn't anyone else in the room, a cold chill that filled a seemingly warm room. I have had strange things happen, when I use to work in a large shop, doors open and close when there wasn't anyone else around. Strange mumbling noises.
And what I believed I had seen almost 15 years ago, was real to me, and no one otherwise will tell me differently. I saw a young child, no more then 5 years old standing on the path, dressed in red, she had a cold icy glow to her. This was gone midnight.

Personally I don't believe in ghosts. And can't stop lolling at ppl who believe. I'm sorry. My understanding of death is that when a living creature dies it just turns off. Like some machine. Nothing like soul will come out of it after the body dies. I simply believe that creatures contains only atoms and thinking,dreaming,loving,hating are just some electric impulses going trough brain. In therms of philosophy this is called materialism.

What are ghosts.. honestly I don't know, maybe they are the dead that haven't yet been sent to heaven or hell, maybe they can't leave until they are ready.
Maybe they're demons, meant to instill fear into humans and play tricks on them.. ouiji boards, I'd never touch one of them.
I had a friend a few years back who told me he could see them. I believed him then, and I still believe him now. Weird things happened at his house, even before he told me.. meh, of course you'll say "lul bs", but sometimes I could just feel that something else was around, so cold.. I wondered what he would look at, and after he told me I understood. One time, probably the worst time.. the tv turned off, ofcourse.. sleep, remote, sure.. he said it was a little girl, and he asked her to turn it back on. It came back on, and it wasn't him. Unless theres a timer to turn a tv on, he must've been so smart to play so many tricks on me. hated even typing that.. remembering it, home alone all day now whee. I dunno, what would you even call that.. a gift? A curse? probably just plain crazy to most of the people here. Told it to two close friends afterwards, their conclusion was crazy of course.. never spoke of it to anyone after that.

On topic: as a kid i once tried "summoning" ghosts with a friend, but when all the doors in my home slammed close we ran outside (little wussies that we were ) i was also convinved i saw a man standing in our kitchen, even though we were home alone- it wasnt a "ghost - white glowly spirit" thing though, more of a black contour (like a guy with a bright light behind him), i guess it was just my mind playing tricks on me though - since we were scared etc.
The problem is - there's no real prove that shows that they do exist, and im not really the kind of person who believes then xD
