That's what he meant to say. Cheez-it and cracker does not win over the ladies.

I wish I could cook more than breakfast
. Anything beside that is usually just a bunch of stuff I throw together in a pot and put some spices on it.

breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, the usual stuff..
lunch - sandwich or pasta
dinner - soup and bread or pasta
keep it really simple...you wont have problems

That's so true.
Not really have to be fixed. At least the intention is what it matters.
Well, you say 'well'.. but Cheez-it and crackers is not a "cook"-ing thing.
it's most liek prepare =P That, ofc, does not count.

Then seeing people enjoy your food and hearing them praise it is a great feeling. I'm actually cooking a meal tomorrow for my family. Still yet to be decided on what exactly.
Any good suggestions anyone?
Hmm, well my stand by dish for a family meal is a nice roast chicken. Stuff it with oranges and onions, little bit of olive oil on the skin with salt & pepper and a rosemary stick between the legs. Sides, any kind of roasted or steamed veggies with some garlic. I also make some flat bread. Nigella Lawson has an awesome recipe called Nigellan Flat bread, I think you can get it off her website (google Nigella Lawson). Don't worry about the seeds if you can't find them, you can make it plain and it's just as good. Dessert depends on how elaborate you want to be. I like a little greek yogurt with raspberries for something simple or OMG any of Nigellas desserts. She's my go-to dessert lady. Everything I have ever made out of her dessert book has come out amazingly well. I really love baking![]()
To the OP: learning to cook is great. You'll never have to rely on someone else to make your dinner or eat sandwiches for the rest of your life.
I've seen her making awful desserts (or is it deserts?).

You can never go wrong with learning how to cook. Later when you have some friends over you can cook for them and yourself. And woman like it and appreciate it to. Even if something goes wrong, you still tried you're best so if you meet anyone half decent, she won't hold it against you. In my experience, she would probably fix something up for the both of you all by herself. :3
When cooked right, a good meal followed by a nice movie could be well rewarding. But that's expected you know how to cook. Besides, there's something innocent and inviting about cooking for others. It's like a mutual accepted meeting ground filled with a curious ambiance. Especially if there's some love in the air. I believe that you can't really go wrong with something like that. I can cook pretty well by now, after asking some tips from a friend of mine. And I had great fun with it, preperation is important though.
Good luck with it.

Really? Weird. I can tell you the ones out her book that I've made that are absolutely amazing...
New York Cheesecake
Autumnal Birthday Cake
Her pie crust recipe is awesome for fresh pumpkin pie
Nutella Chocolate Hazelnut Cake
Madiera Cake
Brownies
Since I made my secret baklava recipe for my family one Thanksgiving, I have been forced to bring dessert to all of our family gatherings. These are my staples

I couldn't agree more! I love when people stand around in the kitchen when I'm making a big meal. Have some nice appetizers done while you make the big stuff and it's so fun to cook and chat
