I'm taking my first SAT's

Well in about 5 minutes im leaving for my first SAT's. I've never took any prep courses nor did I study for it. I'm a bit nervous but I did have a good sleep and a good hearty breakfast. I'll tell yah how it goes in about....5hours from now?

Anyone got any SAT stories? I'll be back after mine X_X

I assume a SAT is some kind of entrance exam? Probably should of stopped playing SRO for a week or two and studied. Oh well, best of luck.

if this is your first SAT I guess it doesn't really matter whether or not you studied (unless your taking this as a first time in your senior year)

2 of my friends are re-taking the SAT's today but i didnt i got a 1410, good enough for me and my colleges i want to get into, and i didnt study/take prep courses.

STA= Scholastic Aptitude Test

basically an appliance test for college or other seminarys

Since you ate a good breakfast and slept well you should get a decent score. The only way you can mess up is if you got barely any sleep and/or decided to skip breakfast. If your brain isn't getting your sugars the Math (Logic) portion will drag your score down. English and writing are easy though.

Take it twice imo. I took it once and missed being exempt from Math courses in college by 200 points

took the SAT II subject tests for math lvl 2 and us history today.
Math i was dissapointed after taking it. think i got around 700-740 on it.
Us History was better then i thought. definitely 720-730+

Retaking the SAT Reasoining test in Dec., after getting a 1790 on first.

How did yours go?

Just got back, and wow did I underestimate the test. Yeah this is the first one in my senior year, I will be sure to take another in winter. I flunked the essay because I changed my idea halfway through and eventually ran outta time. Had to talk if old traditions deserved to still exist today and I ended up cutting short on my reference to cinderella o_O.

The math parts were easy, cept for some trick questions. I will find my scores soon enough..
But man it felt good to finally get through the test. I gave a great sigh of relief and treated myself to the beautiful fall weather.

It all depends on where you wanna go. I only took it once and never studied for it and I didn't go to math class for an entire semester before that. I did just fine though lol. Yeah I was a terrible highschool student.

In Canada we let in anyone with a pen and pad of paper. No need for SATs.

i took my SATs today as well. i think i did really well on the reading and comprehension, and the writing. the math..not so good. i thought i understood it more than i really did :S

Next time I'd recommend studying hard in addition to regular preparation. Work through a Princeton Review guide-book and I'd say it's pretty likely to get a 750+ on pretty much any subject test. Worked for me getting an 800 on one of em anyway.

A 1410? On the new SAT? That is complete trash.
