There's a pretty accurate personality test which is kinda similar to that except it has more and better explanations.

Edit: Forgot my results, which are similar to the results I got from the test I was referring to on my first sentence.

Very cool link Grandpa. I found it extremely interesting to see that i'm almost exactly like you, but more extreme and less balanced; but I guess as I age i'll become more balanced and closer to how you're like.

And of course, I judge more and think less, which is typical for people my age.

Seems very accurate.

Quotes from site on INTJ

INTJ - The "Strategist"
Myers-Briggs Personality Types (Free Test)

INTJs are introspective, analytical, determined persons with natural leadership ability. Being reserved, they prefer to stay in the background while leading. Strategic, knowledgable and adaptable, INTJs are talented in bringing ideas from conception to reality. They expect perfection from themselves as well as others and are comfortable with the leadership of another so long as they are competent. INTJs can also be described as decisive, open-minded, self-confident, attentive, theoretical and pragmatic.

bout the INTJ
Expert Quotes & Links

"...approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity."
- The Portrait of the Mastermind Rational (iNTj) (Keirsey)

"...observer, values solitude, perfectionist, detached, private... does not talk about feelings, hard to impress, analytical, likes esoteric things..."
- Jung Type Descriptions (INTJ) (similarminds.com)

"To outsiders, INTJs may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that most INTJs start building at an early age. When it comes to their own areas of expertise -- and INTJs can have several -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how."
- INTJ Profile (TypeLogic)
"At work, INTJs use their conceptual strengths to analyze situations and then develop models to understand and anticipate through relentlessly to reach their goals. They will continue on with their plans, even in the face of adversity and data that might suggest to other more practical types that their goals are no longer feasible. By nature, INTJs are independent individualists."
- INTJ - The Free-Thinker (Lifexplore)

"INTJs are natural leaders, although they usually choose to remain in the background until they see a real need to take over the lead. When they are in leadership roles, they are quite effective, because they are able to objectively see the reality of a situation, and are adaptable enough to change things which aren't working well. They are the supreme strategists - always scanning available ideas and concepts and weighing them against their current strategy, to plan for every conceivable contingency. "
- Portrait of an INTJ (The Personality Page)

Hey Stewie, yeah... NT's.
The best way of dealing with 'us' is to present options, but you already know.

Meyers Briggs Personality types are widely used. Try Googling INTJ.
You're correct about age, I've noticed it slides the bar toward balance in the Judging / Feeling category. Takes practice though. Many INTJ's go toward Medical or Information Technology fields. I laughed at your 'interpersonal' score while remembering our intereactions. To me (also an analyist) the title of the thread is true enough.

These type of things really do help me to "see" people better though. It's too soon to ask but if there is enough interest perhaps you'd like to form a SRF Group later.

~Granps (a.k.a. 'Brian') :D Image

Spoiler!

From my INTJ Google, doesn't this look like dom ? Image

Hmmmm... I'm crushed. :P
Naw, introvert doesn't mean 'shy' but those of us who are introverted gain energy and 'charge up' during alone time. I was shy (mostly with girls) when young but that was teenage awkwardness more than anything else.

Truth be told i am not that suprised about this outcome. I still need to do those other tests, But i think i will do them later after i get back home.
------------------

------------------
Edit: I just took the personality test and guess what the outcome was?

Image

Image

As quite possibly some of you have noticed by now. I am one of those rare cases who can count himself to the 'Extreme examples' I know this outcome is true since i got diagnosed when i was much younger and even then i scored high in some aspects, but completely lacked in other. I am kind of envious about the more 'balanced' people here. This is indeed a nice change from the standard topics. On a second note: I would also like to join a group if there is sufficient interest from other members. It seems there are a lot of thinkers here. This also made me understand Dom a whole lot better. And offcourse myself.

Thanks for the interesting topic Grandpa. :)

ISTPs are adventurous and independent. They like to figure out how things work. They have great mechanical and technical skills. They live in the "here and now" which makes them adaptable and spontaneous. They like to keep busy and are action-oriented. ISTPs thrive on new and exciting situations.

All that is bolded is not true, pretty strange since I chose facts over theories and they come up with this.

Took this in school. Meyer Briggs Personality Inventory. No harm in taking it twice. See you on the flip side.

Here it is:
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm

One of the most accurate on the net with explanations. It even checks for contradictions, so don't lie. This is one of two. The other one I took was more in depth.

Only flaw in self administered test is the Self-Serving Bias.

I think this is #2: That was not #2 This is #2: http://test.personality-project.org/

INJT:
Image
My Score

Odd, My judging and introversion are lower than last time. :S

All Rationals are good at planning operations, but Masterminds are head and shoulders above all the rest in contingency planning. Complex operations involve many steps or stages, one following another in a necessary progression, and Masterminds are naturally able to grasp how each one leads to the next, and to prepare alternatives for difficulties that are likely to arise any step of the way. Trying to anticipate every contingency, Masterminds never set off on their current project without a Plan A firmly in mind, but they are always prepared to switch to Plan B or C or D if need be.
Masterminds are rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population, and they are rarely encountered outside their office, factory, school, or laboratory. Although they are highly capable leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once they take charge, however, they are thoroughgoing pragmatists. Masterminds are certain that efficiency is indispensable in a well-run organization, and if they encounter inefficiency-any waste of human and material resources-they are quick to realign operations and reassign personnel. Masterminds do not feel bound by established rules and procedures, and traditional authority does not impress them, nor do slogans or catchwords. Only ideas that make sense to them are adopted; those that don't, aren't, no matter who thought of them. Remember, their aim is always maximum efficiency.

In their careers, Masterminds usually rise to positions of responsibility, for they work long and hard and are dedicated in their pursuit of goals, sparing neither their own time and effort nor that of their colleagues and employees. Problem-solving is highly stimulating to Masterminds, who love responding to tangled systems that require careful sorting out. Ordinarily, they verbalize the positive and avoid comments of a negative nature; they are more interested in moving an organization forward than dwelling on mistakes of the past.

Masterminds tend to be much more definite and self-confident than other Rationals, having usually developed a very strong will. Decisions come easily to them; in fact, they can hardly rest until they have things settled and decided. But before they decide anything, they must do the research. Masterminds are highly theoretical, but they insist on looking at all available data before they embrace an idea, and they are suspicious of any statement that is based on shoddy research, or that is not checked against reality.

I don't like the questions on Grandpa's test.

INFJs, making up an estimated 1% of all people, are the most rare type (males even more so). They are introspective, caring, sensitive, gentle and complex people that strive for peace and derive satisfaction from helping others. INFJs are highly intuitive, empathetic and dedicated listeners. These traits tend to act as a "tell me what's wrong" sign on their forehead, hence the nicknames Confidant, Counselor or Empath. INFJs are intensely private and deeply committed to their beliefs.
