Yeah I wanna know what Nantosh wants to know too lol. They have a sim slot so it can be used with a sim card, but att doesn't use sim card as I was told. So any chance we can use it with a different service such as tmobile? If so...
If this was in terms of generation, it would only be the second generation.
He's right PI.
However, no one has answered my question yet! BOO~!
Is it $199 alone, or $199 + Contract?
Yes it is $199 + a 2 year. Just keep your eyes peeled, I believe its $300 without. You will always be able to find them cheap on ebay. My first iPhone was bought for $250 on ebay.
The 8GB version is actually $500 without the contract and the 16GB version is $600 without contract. The replaceable SIM card feature is for those people that already have iPhones and would like to transfer their old info over to the new iPhone (if they buy one). You will no longer be able to buy an unactivated iPhone so I'm not sure you'd be able to go to another network unless you cancel your contract or something.
The difference between this iPhone and the current one is that this one is cheaper up front but the data plan will cost more in the long run. The phone will also include the new 2.0 firmware update, but all current iPhones and iPod Touch devices will get it as well (sans 3G functionality, of course).
I'm still undecided if I should get one or not..I mean, I already have the iPod Touch. o.O
(Bleh, who am I kidding? I'll be lining up at the store the minute they're released. T_T)
