WEC: FABER VS. PULVER

Anyone watch World Extreme Cagefighting?

This match is today, June 1st.

Its gonna be soo Farking intense, two sick fighters Jens Pulver and Urijah Faber...I really don't know whos going to win, but I think people will chose on the type of personalities they favor. Jens is the underdog, hes older, pretty ugly and bruised up and training and pushing himself so hard to come out on top, while Urijah is more of the pretty boy, the hero persoanlity that makes it all look easy, but he too is putting every ounce of effort into this fight...

I think I want pulver to win, I cant wait to see the fight..

I usually watch UFC and I'm currently looking forward to the new PRIDE FC known as DREAM FC. Sometimes Elite XC if there's nothing good to watch. But UFC/DREAM definitely has the highest calibur fighters.

Despite jens size he's a tough opponent for any fighter especially at stand-up. He's got amazing 1-hit knockout power for his weight class. The fact that pulver has fought in heavier weight classes is amazing especially against BJ Penn and the fact he's fought in PRIDE adds to his credibility. He totally raped him the first time. 2nd wasn't his night though lol.

Judging from what I've seen, Faber's style is too reckless IMO. He's got to be more cautious. It's not like IFL where you can go crazy and hope for a knockout lols.

There's a first thing for everything. I'll be looking for the vid after the fight

I think Faber is gonna take it. He is much more well rounded than Pulver. Also, Pulver is from Miletech Fighting Camp and I think they are all douchebags . Pulver always has a strikers chance, but I hope Faber takes him to the ground and stops him, like GSP Serra 2.

+1 I actually would like to see Pulver win but Faber is to well rounded, once he get's him to the ground it's all over

I guess it's a matter of who could impose their will the most. If pulver could keep it standing up, he'd dominate otherwise Urijah should have the upperhand although Pulver is well versed on the ground as well.

But either way it's going to be a great fight, I don't think it's going to be a 5 rounder, I think it will end in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Faber wins by unanimous decision. Not sure what pulver is gonna do from this point. Since he's loss twice in a row already one against BJ Penn. His combinations weren't as fast as he was in his prime and he didn't seem to finish off his combos either.

The winner wasn't too surprising, but the way he did it was. Faber decided to strike and won on his feet, even though most ppl thought Pulver was stronger there. Good job Urijah!
