erg..

I've lived in australia all my life, seriously dont move here.

The general population around me are ignorant fools, bogans or dirty little sluts
The rest are aggressive arrogant idiots who dont deserve to live.

Finding work is easy, pity that petrol prices are high beyond all belief.

I brought 2 kilos and potatoes and some milk today at the local grocery store, it cost $17. expensive much?

Wanna buy a house? Good luck with our incredibly high interest rates.

Seriously, i know im just judging the specific place in Australia that i live, but if the rest of it is any representation than i would never under choice move here.

Yeah little choice on where, will definitely be in Melbourne. But prices from what i can tell arent as bad as where im living now.

Far as people go, i live in redneck hell, ignorance rains here. Not to mention where i live we have some of the highest cost of living.

Its all relative, I moved from England to Brisbane last year and its totally boss.

Leaving costs are cheaper overall compared to England and there are practically giving petrol away over here.

People are a million times better than the skag heads, townies and chavs that I left behind in England.

if your going to stay in the melbourne - geelong area the best bet for a retail job would be in a supermarket chain like woolworths and coales, they pay pretty decent (13-22 dollars an hour ), another option could be working in a coffee shop, you'd be suprised about the pay and how easy it can get. Don't work at maccas, kfc or red roooster they will pay you minimum wage , i guarentee that. These are mostly the jobs that are part time that interens work. melbourne's a nice place but canberra is ALOT nicer. fare few uni's there and job oppurtunities and easy to navigate.
Public transport's a huge issue in australia atm with the state and federal governments not doing much and i don't suggest getting a car , fuel prices are through the roof, literally. Melbourne is so organised with its streets and sydney's a bitch. Good Luck with your internship here.

Living in melbourne is like living with a bitch, there mood changes like a mofo, one day your in a t-shirt and the next your wearing a jumper.

it has alot of good nite clubs, and the chicks are rockn.
there is alot of over sea students, fobby asian people, and alot of TB (teeny boppers) asian wannabe shufflers.

Yeah ive heard of the temp changes, but from what i know it seems the cold there isn't no where near as bad as the cold here, given that the hot there is quite hot compared to here. But didn't realize this many people here lived in Aus.

Bumping again, does anyone know about obtaining a Visa? Theres so many confusing options. I'm gonna be living with a friend but, visitor visa wont allow you to work...im planning on staying but im guessing i can go on a visitor visa there for a few months then apply for a temp or permanent resident but have no clue how to do that. So much info yet none really answers the questions. If anyone has ever moved to Australia or live there and know what to do i would appreciate the help. Seems like temp resident would work, believe it lets me work and such, not sure on a permanent residence. Also no clue one where to apply to be a resident.

idk exactly about permadent visa, but i do know that you can always
get yourself a working holiday visa, through the internet. with this
visa you can stay in australia for 1 year. i think you can only get
this type of visa twice in a lifetime; second time you can stay for
6 months. anywho, link below provides all the information. i always
had this visa as like a backup visa, so that if my occupational
trainee visa wouldnt work out, or wouldnt be finished in time, i'd
apply for this one online.

edit: oh, and to apply for resident i think best you can do is go to
a consulate when you're there.

All my friends talk about how they get blowjobs and handjobs and get pashed on the first date, and im thinking good job mate.. ur going out with a whore". I seen em a few times. Theyre fukn sluts. Im sitting out front maccas(mcdonalds) then one of them go to me "can i have ur food, i'll pash you".. Im just like get the fuck out of my face.

im out of school and it only gets worse

I was at the pub on saturday night with a few mates and all i could see are dity little whores getting with random sleazy guys who want a bit of quick action. So typical, so pathetic.

But maybe its like that anywhere we go, who knows. Kinda doesn't help when i have lived in the same town for 18 1/2 years.
