My brother plays GW, when I played it the quest system was amazing. A lot of people say it went downhill, my bro is waiting for GW 2 atm.

For me GW went downhill hard. Right around the time Nightfall came out, teaming died. Nobody does anything together but PVP. Everything else is solo. And thanks to the expansions you can spend weeks gathering skills and gear for your character, just to stand a chance in PVP.

Not worth the money anymore IMO.

lol Be prepared to spend another hour or so updating. And listening to unceasing girly music. Goddamn it why couldn't they just give a mute option during the updating..

Edit: Haha wow **** that. It froze at the end of the last file of nearly 3 THOUSAND, only to have to completely restart from zero when I re-open the client. I'm not waiting 2 hours to update this damn game especially with that annoying music. Gonna see if there's a more updated client download.

lol, and what client are you guys updating?.. RF got a recent update called "Crimson Dawn"... so be careful you might download the old one.

Press escape to mute the sound. You can even replace it.

I tried most of the games you suggested :) except PF

RFonline is not a bad game, but after around lvl 30 in public servers, the grind is really really long, The quest are pretty boring but the armor are pretty urber cool and yes Race wars does lag like hell. But its fun only when you get there :) If you don't like grinding like sro don't play it.

I hate Cable for some odd reason, just not my type of game I guess, all characters looks kinda the same, not much individuality.

I recommend Rohan, I was in close beta test and the game looks pretty promising :) although it runs way different than sro, and you need a pretty urber graphics card to make it look like a nice game. The battle system is pretty good, they have town battles and everything silkroad can offer minus the bots (atm, hopefully there will never be bots) the Dekens and Dhans are the PK class, so they can just kill anybody hunting, I think that's Rohan's anti-bot strategy? GMs are friendly and answer questions, but that could just be close beta. The skills looks Ok, but not as cool as Silkroad I would say. So yes definitly worth a look at. I do find traveling around a bit of a hassal in low levels, since you cna't buy a mount and stuff

so yes, I think you'll like rohan try it out :)

I disagree about the grinding part in RF, except for the quests. You can grind easily in parties if you know where to look.

Hey guys anyone knows the minimum PC requirements for RF?

My pc can play SRO well with 0% lags but only on lowest gfx when most of the stuff are switched to off so what about RF?

My pc is:
1.7 GHZ CPU
768 RAM
64 mb gfx card

Can it handle it?

That private server sounds so yummy :P

Also one more thing..server situation in the private server is kool right?..i mean can i log in at any time and have no server lag?

Thanks in advance. :)

yeah
i had the some impression like, chars on cabal look the same, wizard and bladers can tank and etc.
But as i start learning more about the game i figure out that everyone's pretty diff. I can even distinguish ppl's lvl just cause of the gear and before i used to think its all the same xD
It takes willing to try the game to like, actually get into it, but once u get i think its pretty awsome xD
I tryed and have RF online, looks like a cool game imo :D
even tho i dont like that robots jazz tht much

With EOTN and NF all the big money makers are now 8 man clearing teams that require a lot of teamwork. In my guild every night there's tons of vanquishing/dungeon/farming parties that go on, and solo is restricted to easy tasks.

In PvP you could always just make a pvp character, select your gear, and unlock skills using faction. It took me about 2 hours to make 8,000 faction, or 8 unlockable skills (eg: 1 skill bar, one complete pvp build)

PvE GW is only as enjoyable as the people you play with. It took me a lot of guild hopping to finally find people I like to play with.

Factions always sucked and was never that enjoyable from a PvE viewpoint, NF helped a bit, and EOTN is just amazing. EOTN gets rid of missions and adds chain quests that include a dungeon or two in every primary chain, dungeons reminding me of Baal runs @ D2 minus the teleporting to the boss.

Rohan 2nd close beta just ended, You'll have to wait for open beta :) so downloading won't work, the OB should come in a few weeks.

Sword of the New World gets boring after lvl 20 bu it has awesome graphics though. Rohan awesome graphics 2 but for me fighting a monster my own lvl takes like 2 whole minutes to kill(except for elf & warrior)but skill animations are wonderful. PW is all around wonderful. Fun quests a nice community pretty easy to log on OK graphics and fun skills( they do get old after a while though)

go with Rohan, if you distribute your stats right then you'll kill at a decent rate (unless you're building a tank). Check out the Official Rohan thread, if you want to play Rohan before OB then try jRohan. :)
