How do i change DivX into a format that i can burn onto DvD

Ok i have a few videos that i would like to burn onto dvd but becuase they are DivX i cant do this and be able to watch it on my dvd player, iam kinda noob about this so does anyone know how i can change the format so i can burn them and watch on my dvd player.

*iam not 100% sure your allowed to talk about this here so if your not :shock:

change *.divx to *.avi
