Poll Time guys. These were the images we were working with:


The goal was to make a sig with one or more of the renders/stocks provided. May the best man or woman win. This is the contest: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=98358

having a hard time deciding between sae and hostage.

Was a tough one for me to choose beteen MasterKojito and Hostage BUT Hostage gmv.

DJ all the way he has got the most unique and best looking imo

besides i dont like the others all too same or not done well enough...sae and hostage dont even have boarders on their sigs i hate that

Well the main point of a border is to define the end or edges, and I'm pretty sure we can tell where her signature ends.

sae and hostage both did amazing jobs...but i made my decision.

This comment alone tells me where your skill level stands but I'm just glad people are back in the AC which was the whole point to why I start posting again. So thanks stay a while, participate in a few competitions. Grace us with your knowledge. =}

P.S it's fine to vote for your friends and to have a preference to your style but you're in no position to tell anyone if they've done a well enough job or not. All these people have done extraordinary for their time with Ps, each of them.

As for me I can't decide between MK, Sae or Bob. So I won't vote. Everyone else did a terrific job too. ^^

Wanted to vote for 2 sigs, had a hard time choosing which one to vote for :/
but everyone did a good job with their sigs =)

im not friends with dj, i dont think in all the time iv played sro iv exchanged more then a hello with him, its just the most unique design done im not an expert but this whole lights and abstract effects are getting old

I really couldn't care less if whether you are or aren't friends with him. My point was it's fine to like his style and vote for him for that reason. Heck, I like it too it reminds me of nightblooms simplistic style of making sigs. That still doesn't excuse you from putting down the sigs of some of the newer artist. Especially when you're going to comment on something that you, clearly, seem to have little to know knowledge about it's use. Now I'm used to the criticism it's one of the things you need to learn if you expect to showcase your work but that's only because I've been to some pretty harsh GFX sites. AC, is not one of those it's more of a haven for people who wish to start somewhere where they feel. That's what it was for me when I was introduced to Ps and that's how I would like it to be for new comers as well.

Second lighting is essential. It falls right under with flow, perception etc. This has nothing to do with making squiggly lines, although that's what a few people have come to believe. They're the fundamentals of art.


...as for the abstract part well that's a matter opinion and right now your opinion matters less to nothing to for me right. Considering the approach you chose to come at with your posts.
