Im pretty sure they are right at the bottom of the tutorial.

Well I used the Pen Tool to do it and if you are doing the same picture it shouldn't be that hard. But if you are using the lasso tool try it on magnetic so that way it forms to the shape of you render.

where is the chalk brush?

Well if it is brushing to white then I believe you are using the brush tool not the smudge tool. Also i forgot the smudge settings but just use the same ones that I used for my Half Life Tutorial.

Also I think it looks okay but one think is that I cant see much of the clipping mask and when I do it is a random box and an overlap of half his body. But all in all I know your not as used to photoshop as you could be and what I would advise you to do is do this tutorial and any other one you find more then once and do it when you think your skill level goes up and that can be a good way to tell if you have improved or not.

i think the colors are too vivid, and i understand what ur trying to do but the half spiderman on the right just looks weird to me
