Copycat Contest!

Post by Snudge »

This fortnight's stock:
FREESTYLE!

This Fortnight's Submissions:

None :)

VOTING IS ON SUNDAY'S
____________________________________________________

Copycat Contest!
Rules:

    1. Each Piece should be made on the spot. This means no pre-made pieces you happen to have are allowed to be entered.

    2. New contests start on on Monday, GMT.

    3. Contests are due at Sunday GMT! This means you're not allowed to submit new pieces after this deadline!

    4. The people vote on Saturday. Anybody is able to vote. One person equals one vote. Simply, the person with the most votes by the end of Sunday (GMT) wins this contest for the fortnight and gets his/her name posted in the Wall of Fame.

    5. If you win two contests in a row, you may not participate in the third. However, if you win two contests in a row, you are given the opportunity to pick the theme for the following week's contest, if you so choose to.

    6. Those who whip up the talent to win two times in a row shall be granted the title of "???(Yet do be decided)". The person who's been given the title shall keep the title until another person wins twice in a row, then they are granted the title, and so on.

    7. The current "???" gets to keep the title of "???" in his/her user title bar (in the place of Regular, Veteran, or Elite Member) until there is another "???".

    8. The maximum size for a submitted piece is 550x550 pixels. This is to encourage participants to try more different styles and sizes for their pieces.

    9.
1# You may NOT cut the stock.
2# You may resize and manipulate the stock, as long as you don't break rule 1#

Fairly whored stock. I was looking at that stock a little bit ago and thought you might choose something like that :P oh well. It works.

EDIT: Thanks for taking on the Copycat Contest though

I actually picked this one to see which focal point people will choose. ;)

And I know it's whored, a lot of my stocks are. That only makes it more fun to see what people will do with it in contrary to 'the mass' though. ;)

Count on me, but I think that a title could also be granted to someone who wins one time, and then they keep it untill the new winner is there the next week.

And also, I also think the winner of only one time could pick the new stock/render.

But if you don't cut it while rendering it, it isn't that bad, right??

(I used magic wand to render it, is that allowed?)

Actually, this means no rendering whatsoever. But if people really dislike this rule, I suppose we could scrap it. Let me know. (adds poll)

Don't you think rule #6 and 7 conflict with SigWars? I think those things should just be rewards for SigWars in my opinion.

I dunno. Why not, tbh. I don't see why we can't have a title for the winner of this contest. And if someone happens to win both twice in a row, why not just let that person choose?

I don't mind them choosing the next stock. I was generally aiming at the "title" portion of the rules. If people want a title, what title would you like?

I was aiming at if someone won both sig wars anc this contest twice in a row, and won both titles. ;)

Sorry, didn't catch that part. Well, maybe we can come up with a custom title if it were to happen.
@twelve: Make a sig out of it.

Everyone is making a sig from that stock. So people aren't copying the sig, but rather copying the stock.

Iunno, couldnt think of a new name.

Also, "pre-set stock contest" doesn't roll quite well off the tongue.

It makes sense. If I grabbed the same stock you used in your sig twelve, it would be, in a sense, "copycatting." And I agree snudge, it does have a nice ring to it.
