Down this winding path
I fall, be it slightly, every day
One moment, a stumble, the next a fall
Why does my life dawn this way?
No guard rails, no life support
Just an infinite fall, a delayed collapse
Knowing this, why? Do I still fight?
Fight for better, these goals I amass
Knowing that one day this dream will end
This illusion will fade into reality
And there I’ll stand alone, broken
But finally, at last, I'll see
I will see these cryptic shores
These disgusting sunsets
Repulsing flowers blooming in the sickening summer
And finally, comes these beautiful regrets.
No longer will I gaze
As the tormenting rainbow defiles the blank sky
As the spiteful showers drown the spring
No longer feel the dire winds, rampage by
I’ll wander not in this blind falsity
No more spoon-fed beauty, listen no more
To their ideals, their visions of perfection
I’ll find this truth, these lies I abhor
So god allow, let me fall
Let me tumble down this lie
Maybe then, something real will come my way
And, I pray it be soon...
