well i had an art exam today and we already finished early and there was a computer open i went on there and to my surprise photoshop was on there yay!
so i messed around alot on this sig and tried out a lot of different techniques with alot of adjustment layers and i accidentally oversaturated the whole picture, like seriously, it looked like a hot brown pile of poo so i set it to black and white and thought it would be fun if i just shared this little monster with you guys XD
it was better than doing nothing for 2 hours
well enough of the fanatics here it is


i know the sig isnt that great but iam glad i got to find out more about colors

It's shit, it has no border, no text, no focal. Sigh I can't believe you wasted 2 hours of your life on THAT!































See how much fun it is to get bad critiques with no feedback at all? You can't go about giving bad critiques and then expecting to get good ones on something like this..

The distorted kinda look is actually kinda funky, I like it.
Only thing I'd try to fix is adding a clear lightsource.

You're taking it a little over the top Twelve. I think he gets the point from the other thread. Anyways back on topic. I've always had a soft spot for black & white sigs. I think it's a little over smudged, especially around his face. Seems to be a lot of empty space on the left. Maybe made the sig a little smaller to make up for that space? A light source would have been great too along with some text and a border. I think if you added those things in it would look really nice.

what imo would look good is adding some color accents.

like put some color in some of the effects around the focal to
make it more interesting to look at. if you want to do it quick
to see how it might look, select some spots and go to
Mode->Adjustments->Selective Color. pick the neutrals and play
around a bit with RGB till you find a suiting color.

This is all trivial! I think what's important is..."art exam" ??? They tested you on your knowledge of art?

i oversaturated that one like crazy trying new techniques for coloring but thx for all the comments guys

we had to do a 3d building thingy, mine sucked, naturally cause i barely put any effort into it and i just wanted to get it done XD

I actually like this one compared to the other ones you did. Now with a text and border its good to go.

add some text, maybe some color accents like some other people mentioned, the right side of his face is a little dark.

what i dislike
not really a fan of b&w
the white sky suddenly turns gray on the right side and the corder is white -_-
he kinda scares me and his hair looks too sharp
the efx on the shoulders look kinda wierd

what i do like
i used a background stock and a render and put them together(all part of my new stylez)
and the blending and smuding turned out pretty good

what i would do differently
use the colored version lol and fix the colors
make everythign fit in a bit better
use less smudging and more pen
add lighting

my rating for this sig?
5 or 6/10

give some borders , i will like it . but itz looking good.

well if everyone feels so crudely about my ratings then ill try and tone it down a notch

You shouldnt cover up your focal, try get rid of some of that black stuff around his face. 6/10 This could be a good sig but you just need to tone it down next time.
