In my humble opinion, the color one definitely looks better.
It's a nice tag, actually. But there are still a few things that I think could be done better.

First of all, the fire that the dragon is blowing out. The part that's spilling over the sides of the other dragon's breath just doesn't look too great. On top of that, it seems to be transparent. Not saying that transparency is a bad thing, but I think it's just a little overly transparent.
Secondly, the wings of the dragon that's spitting the fire look a little fake. You have some thing overlapping it / on it, and it just doesn't look too great.
And thirdly, I'd like to point out the text. Try some new fonts. It seems like you're using the same fonts alot of the time. And work on the placement of the text as well. Even if you wanted to tilt it, I don't think the angle you tilted it at was too great. Experiment with your font. Look at tags that HOLLA and BrokenSaint make - they have some incredible font there.

What I mean is that they look very similar. If you didn't know about the site yet, try dafont.com. They have quite a bit of fonts, and it's easily usable.

Also, if you have the time, go through this tut. It doesn't take long, but it gives you a good brief understanding on how to play around with your font on Photoshop.

I agree, I'm leaning towards the colored version. Couple things I noticed: You have your renders going from right to left, looks like the fire breathing one is chasing the other. Then your c4d/brushing is going from top left to bottom right. Seems to clash rather then add flow. Generally tilted text to that extreme never looks too well. As for the rest, I agree with fena.

dragon renders are too sharp imo
background is blah
text is pretty bad
but your improving gj

Background a lil chaotic for me, i'm lookin at c4ds running in different directions so my eyes are all over the show. Could do with a il tidying up. Defo improvement tho, keep at it
