why not have a best sig/avy maker award/Competition or only on SIGs. And the winner win a title the same like on the (CHRONICLES OF SRO) or something else only give a examples about it.

perhaps becomes difficult to implement , what all think about this ?

well, we kinda had something along those lines already, it was called sig wars. I ran an idea by SG but I don't think anything is going to happen with it.

But this be more like a Competition

have a competition first whit 10 SIGs and later can have (on AVY to )and all vote on them so it be only five who get the most votes and the SIGs be on finaly stage and vote on the five left until it becomes one winner whit most votes (And put in a date when the Competition be closed)

Sig wars is enough for this forum I think. Else go to some design site or something.

We could, but without being mean, what would be the point?

First of all, alot of people, like me, just get their Avy off of a site like Photobucket. I think more than half of the people on SRF don't make their own Avy's.
But more importantly, why would you have an "Avy Wars" if you could have a Sig Wars? Sig Wars gives you a bigger canvas to showcase your talent on. The maximum sized Avatar you can have on SRF is 100px by 100 px. Sigs can go up to 550px by 200 px.

So what I'm getting at is, atleast to me, Sig Wars makes a little more sense because you have a larger area to show your talent on. I think 100px by 100 px is simply too small to do anything miraculous with.

I dont say anything about a war only a small competition ,Sure it be more difficult when it's only 100x100 But forget everything is nothing to argue about

I'm not arguing. I'm just trying to explain why I personally think it makes more sense to do things in Sigs, rather than Avatars.

Like I said before, Sigs give you sufficient room to display your talent. Sure, you could say that LP's give you an even larger room, but then LP's also take quite a bit longer. To my experience, making a good Sig can sufficiently show off what you can do when it comes to digital art, all while doing it in a reasonable amount of time.
To me, Avatar's might take less time, but you just don't have enough room to maneuver around, if that makes any sense.

But once again, that's just my own personal opinion, and I'm not arguing about anything. If you have your own opinion, voice it, of course! :]

On the compromising side, we could do a sig-war round with the theme being "Matching Avator". Its up to whoever who organized it though.

I know what you mean Fena but on avy like you say don't have enough room can be harder to make one you self and can be challenge really
but ok is nothing to discussing about
