Photoshop freezing :|

I click open, and it whitescreens. Any suggestions before i try reinstallng?
(Already tried rebooting)

More Ram. If you're using CS3 you should have 2gb minimum.

It "runs" on 1gb, but you should get a message while installing that it's below the requirement. And, on 1 gb you won't have enough resources to do anything other than run one of the suite's programs.

Not correct, I run it on 512, or I did run it on 512 MB of RAM easily, no freezing, no messages of below requirements, and I never had a problem, wasn't even slow.

I now have 1.5 GB and I only notice a difference in how fast it loads up, nothing else

Are you sure that you are using the FULL version and not the PORTABLE one..
