The blinding light is done in the series just this way, so I thought it would give it an official look. My aim was to make it look as if it were a screenshot, which from what I'm seeing people say I did a pretty good job

sSecondly, the shadows on her arm, well since the part that would have a shadow is off screen, you don't see it. Notice the shadows on her knuckles, fingers, and thumb. There are multiple light sources in this picture, one from above - a combination of lights from the classroom and reflection, and the other from the window which causes that blinding light - which would happen if this were a photo (and again, incidentally it is what is done a lot in the series.)
I understand what your saying though, just wait for some more work of mine to come out - currently im still trying to find inspiration for my next piece, im not sure what I want to do.
