Or... you could ask one of the AC Gods to whip you up a Sig? I mean, a Mod has to Mod in style, right? Bling bling, bang bang. And I'm sure they'd be more than happy to oblige...

But on a more serious note, Key-J is Key-J with that little Ninja comic guy. I'd be a little shocked one day if you had a new Avy and a Sig. You know? I vote keep it, although it goes against... art.

It's still a forum rule. Everyone's request gets locked if it's not posted in there. I would hate to see exceptions :x

I think an index of users willing to do it, with the PM button next to their name, would work better.

Many of them will do requests, but they either don't check the thread, or they don't do them via PM. Oh well, I waited, and I got mine done.

Patience is key, I guess

This is what Rizla's been saying for ages: our way of filling our requests is messy and horrible. He's said it over and over again, and I agree with him, as well as, no doubt, other people probably do. And yet no action is ever taken, and our Requests thread is just left as is. Barely any requests get filled out, and people just stop requesting at all.
Maybe now that we're posting this issue in a thread that a Mod created, and it isn't totally off-topic, some action will be taken.

tbh a pm from many of us could get the problem sorted, mods dont make the changes, the users do

if a user or users had enough infulence they could run the forum just by the way the post, act only aslong as others follow, mods no offen key-j are appointed to moderate, admins do the bigger jobs but they do have a role as a regular poster too hehe

The response given to me when I made a very nice formal request with supporting material was "This is an SRO forum, not a graphics forum."

That was from Mr. KeyJ himself.

That was the point I decided to say "To hell with filling SRF sig requests then ;)"

Key-J is right, this isnt a graphics forum.

Boo you too. :(

Seriously, though - of course this isn't a Graphics forum. It's called SilkRoadForums and not 1337Graphics.net for a reason. Yet, there are some of us that are only around here for the AC, period - most of those people being the better artists of the AC. Even if we aren't a graphics forum, would it really hurt to make Requests a little cleaner and easier? I don't think so whatsoever. We don't need a subforum or anything. We just need a better way than we have right now to fill out requests, because the way we have right now isn't that great.
Even if this isn't a graphics forum, if we could make it better, why not? And it's not like it's a task that'll take a week and five hundred men to accomplish. A few clicks of a button and a few keystrokes should take care of it. Maybe an hour job at the most to get it organized.

I dont see how its fair for people to request for us to cater to them, when the forum leaders wont cater to us. It's a two way road, and the sad thing is that it would be incredibly easy to support SRF's artists.

The mods just couldn't give two shits, which is honestly fine with me - it makes the moral decision regarding contribution very easy.

Well, this took another turn didnt it.

reK is leadar in the AC, what he says goes now k?

Riz, i can't remember saying that. Im not saying that i didnt, however i just don't remember doing it. You got a link by any chance?

reK hasnt mentioned anything about adding a Sub-Forum to the AC. (To The Best Of My Knowledge). If it's necesary, it could be arranged.

We take care of you guys, and we appreciate the sigs you guys provide. I mean, they really are stunning. We understand that some of you just come to the AC, or the forums. I mean, some of you started SRO only after coming to the AC.

Anyway, back on topic.

This thread was just, you know asking for suggestions if i should change the sig. If request needs to be made, i would have gone through the sticky. If it was designed for that purpouse then so be it.

So, you think i should stick with the Theme. But give it a new edge? O.o

I remember when you made that request. Looking back, it was Kratos that said it, and cin that agreed. I don't think Key-J had anything to do with it, unless he said so somewhere else:

It's sro forum, not art forum, :?

i agree.

however, it might be good to have a certain structure in sig requests. maybe
add a sticky showing what the requests should look like.

Do you think the screens I posted were from an art forum? If so you're wrong. http://www.bf2combat.net Its strictly Battlefield2 but they recognize and have enough respect for the artists who contribute so much to their community to give the smallest bit of structure, thereby alleviating a lot of hassle on the designers AND the requesters. We have filled over 45 sig requests in 4 weeks, and it goes much faster with this system.

From this thread: http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic ... c&start=30

Better apologize, Rizla. :P

On-Topic: Now that you mention it, Key-J, I vote keep the theme, but change it. I do agree that it's time for a change of Sigs, but I think that Mr. Ninja's become your trademark.

Well it was someone with a K name, so I wasnt too far off. Regardless of my memory error I wont apologize due to the fact that it still went ignored by mods, such as KeyJ, therefore still guilty imo. It just makes me sick to see so many willing to help and those who could aid in making their benevolent acts easier couldn't care less.

Riz,

It's because im so bad at Art, drawing, painting, digital.. well anything apart from Photography which is why i don't visit the AC as much as i should.

However, do not think that we do not care about you guys here in the AC, nor that we don't want to make your life easier. I mean, i completely understand that you guys spend time and effort creating what you create.

We'll sort this out, if you say a Sub-Forum is greatley needed, then sure we will work to get on. Ill get a little discussion going with reK, SG and the rest of the team. If you have any more suggestions for the AC, i recomend over the next few days you send them to reK.

However, to make his life easier don't just spam him with innapropriate requests. I mean, only say things which would be truly benifital to the AC, and those who give up their time for it.

OT:
Lol, Ninja it is.

Guess i need to get some base material now XD

Now to be a personal attack or anything, but I think there's a problem of competence. I've never liked the idea of having a 14 year old run a board with dozens of active members.

As a mod he should of already cleaned up the stickies, added an index, fixed the sig request situation, set up collaborations and offered to help out with the AC artists group thing.

You can say that SRF as a whole is not an art forum and events should not be required, however the ARTISTS' CORNER section is.

Being part of an administrative team should not be about whether or not you post nice messages, are popular, or make nice sigs. In general, this forum has problems with administration, competent mods are few and far between; especially the ones fom thehelper.net that we see once a month.

If you're a mod and reading this and you feel like you're doing a good job then this wasn't for you. For the most part, i'm just expressing frustration about mods that will never read this post. It's something that has been bothering me for a long time: at SRF it seems like the only required task from a mod is to lock bot generated messages that have links to porn sites.

Again, reK, don't take it personally. I don't have any problems with you as a person; maybe the problem with AC is just that it has grown so active in the past couple weeks that one person isn't enough to mod it.

I just hope that the thread about me in the mod's private forum doesn't get revived, my frustration is caused by a genuine desire to see this forum live on.
