Alright, post here if you want to be part of this fun idea!

This thread is simply for names.

It's just a list, I don't see any harm in compiling names of people that are interested. The other thread is just plain getting messy.

Figured we needed a separate topic for the names, doesn't matter who posts it, I'm not in charge, but not a lot of posting going on or action on the mods' part, so I figured on taking the initiative. You want in or not?

I think it would be best for an *accomplished* artist to pick a team of"admins", and they can decide who's going to be heading this. Since, there should be applications to get in the group, and evaluations. If it's going to be a deviantart group and/or have a public website, you don't want people who can barely use the marquee tool to screw up the quality of the work.

I'm simply collecting a list of all the people who want to be a part of this.

The mods can decide who will be a leader from this list that I'm trying to help them get. They can worry about picking leaders, and getting the site, and I'm helping them get it done quicker by compiling a list of people who want to be in this...

Mods? This wasn't proposed by SRF. It's an independant project. I would assume that mod status would have no bearing on membership status within the group.

Fena proposed the idea, Fena should put a group of people together able and willing to accomplish the task.

I have no problem in someone else oragnising this. In this thread we'll nominate leaders, and team selection since this already has a list of people.

Woah, woah. Guys, take it easy. Knuckles was simply taking some initiative and getting something done, on top of what Dom and everybody else was proposing to do in the other thread. And like he said, this is only a thread gathering a list of members that are willing to participate in this project, as the other thread wasn't exactly clear. I'm sure that Knuckles would do a good job if he was in charge of this (as shown from the quality of his posts), yet he hasn't shown any sign that he's trying to be in charge or anything - just trying to help. So guys, seriously - this is supposed to be fun, not some sort of argument.

Thanks, Dom! That means alot to me. But with my schedule and my lack of Internet (an entirely different story), I don't think it'd be a good idea to put me in charge of organizing this. I wouldn't be able to actively participate in this entire affair. Maybe you could enlist the help of reK and a few others that you think would be good for the task, and go ahead and take charge? You have my vote, and I'm sure that if you selected about two-three more people to help you, the rest of us would have complete confidence in you guys.

im in....ill help organise as well msn is below.....i think we should make one deviantart group and have inner group competitions with 3 teams and 3 "classes". Then each have our own section on the webpage. Then we all work together and become closser as we compete amongst ourselves..

IF im right..

we make 3 teams with a team captain on each team (if the teams arent
competitive enough, we can swap team members, but the captains stay).
these teams collaborate to make a sig or artwork each week, and the best
team wins.

that about sums it up. if im wrong, ill delete this lol :P

Pretty close cin :): Probably about 2-4 teams. reK and them haven't really decided yet. If everybody thinks this is a good idea, I might just add a poll to the topic for people to vote for leaders, and however many teams we think should be necessary, we can take the top 2-4 people for leaders (but, of course, if they're obviously not competent, they can be eliminated, and the next highest put in).

Not neccessarily collaborating each week, but maybe bi-weekly (In the sig wars topic, it basically takes 2 weeks before someone does anything :P)

Lets make this like in "Scrapyard" tv show :D

Someone choose 4 captains for each team. Then captains throw a dime and who wins, have rights to pick up team member first :D Well, idea is just that team captains must pick up members for theyr team from the list :)
