Haiiii, SRF. I'm back once again from my temporary awayness-like-thing. Family issues.
Anyway, I've been Photoshopping for a little under a week now, maybe an hour or so a day, and I'd like you to give me a few comments on the works that I've done. One or two of them, I've followed a tut, but the rest I've done myself.

(For some reason, on this one and another one of my Sigs, I couldn't save it as anything other than a PNG or PSD file or one of those Photoshop files. When you go to Save As, and "Save as copy", a list of options like ".jpeg" and ".bmp" should pop up, but they don't. I've even tried using the rectangular marquee tool, and copying my entire Sig to a new document and saving it, but it doesn't let me. Sometimes I can't use certain things like Filter options and stuff for some reason. Is my version of Photoshop corrupted? I didn't get it the conventional way. :wink:

For this one, I had to print-screen and then crop it out on Paint, which is why you see some stuff on the sides and blahblahblah.)

Oversharpened. Yes, I know, and it doesn't really flow. Seems extremely jaunty to me. But that was the second one I did.

I have a few more as well (the new one that I just did looks great (IMO), but once again I can't save it), but I'll save those for later. I just want some CNC, please. Am I doing alright?

(Also, does anyone know how to make rounded borders?)

Thank you guys! Special thanks to Rizla, reK, ThisIsChris, and 0l3n for the tuts. These were the first tuts that I took a look at. I just saw deep.in's tut right now, and I'm itching to try it out, but I need to get home first (still at work right now).

That was the first Sig I made, and it looks about 100x worse than the one you made. When I saw yours, I loved it - not even kidding. Yours was great. Mine stinks.

fourth one down is gorgeous imo, I love the text and the abstraction of the mysterious figure in it. so when are you going to make me a sig now?

Rizlaa! haihaihai! hmm... I'll make you a Sig when I get good enough that you can wear it for about a week or so and not feel embarassed. Of course, that's quite a long ways off, so don't count on it anytime soon. but one day, of course.

It's rather large, so I didn't want to directly post it. And I found it under the Resources section of Tech-GFX, so I don't think it's wrong or anything to use it.

I butchered it, though, and I'm going back to work on it a little, sometime later. I'm glad you like it though. That's quite a compliment coming from you.

Here's my V2 of my IntoTheUnknown Sig:

(:love: deep.in for his glowlines tut, although how he manipulated it THAT much, I'll never know. perhaps I'll bump it for great justice, haha.)

Compared to V1:

Better, guys? Worse? Anyway.

BTW, could anybody tell me where the "Outer Glow" effect is? It's listed on deep.in's tut (http://www.ipix.lt/out.php/i37028_GlowLinesTut2.jpg), but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

and your other ones look nicer than any of mine, I havent bothered with any more tuts yet
maybe I should get on that

Thanks, and definitely. I just read through the tuts though, I don't really follow them. For most of them I make, I just... you know? Do my own thing, but I read through all the tuts I can find to see what I can do.

ur work is good because its very origional and ive never seen nay style like it, lol its really amazing, very unique, but i cant really critique many of them very well, id just keep working on what youve been doing b/c its very nice

Nooo. But the Sigs in your NSRs are always so great to look at... you, Snudge, Rizla - when I think of AC, I think of you three. deep.in started me on thinking about how cool it'd be if I could make my own Sigs. Then you three came into the picture and blew me away with your Sigs. If you uninstalled and quit, then it'd shatter my PS world.

I downloaded this massive stock pack that one of the Mods was sharing with everyone on tech-gfx, and that pack alone has been keeping me going for quite a while. A truck load of resources, and yet, no skateboards.

I'm assuming you mean the Dream About Me one? Yup, I used a tut for that, although I don't really like my outcome. The tut guy's outcome looked better. I loved his stock, haha.
I used a tut for #3, #4 and #6. Not using any tuts for the ones that I'm doing now. Kinda just trying to do my own thing.
