your text is hard to read, I think the effects went over the budget your focal could handle, my eyes dont wanna go near your focal, its drawn to the (albeit well done) effects, which overpower everything else.
So, V. Nice effects, personally, I would tone them down and create a bit more depth to improve flow into the focal, and give the text a bit more contrast from whatever is behind it.
