for a complete photoshop beginner like myself, the best way to learn how things are done is to see them in action. the step-by-step tutorials on here allow people to learn not only how things are done but actually see what each step of the process results in. i for one had no idea how to use blending and some of the other layer options, and through using people's tuts i was able to see what techniques i liked and what i didn't and learn how to best apply them.


just because you have either a) a natural gift in visual arts or b) you were able to figure out some stuff on your own doesn't give you the right to belittle others for finding tutorials helpful.

He makes Sigs his way and he has his style, that's it.

I like to see how others use PS, helps get my creative juces flowing sometimes. And can help further skills for everyone. "If he did that... Lemme try this..." Then BAM you got something new and unique.

No C4D's where used in that sig. Pure stocks and filters (mainly hometaken stocks)

Damn. Havent seen SG post in a while, always of quality. Honestly, tutorials help everyone. They help the new people learn how to do things at all, the more experienced see a new way to do things sometimes. You shouldnt bash tutorials, because people should take something from them and put their own twist on it. I think they are important. I could definately use some myself
