Photoshop question... again

I have searched and searched and searched for an answer to my problem on google, other forums, and still have not found an answer.

Problem:
I save a .png file into my documents. I open up Adobe Photoshop CS2. I then go to file<open. I click my .png file and come up with this error

Please, help me if you can. Any advice would be nice. Sorry for asking help I just can't find the answer and want to open some dam .png files.

why don't you try to save that file in other format not .png :roll:

are you using a downloaded trial?

It will open if I change the file format. Yet it doesn't cut it out like a .png file would. No, it's not a downloaded trial.
