Like a spark as in shiny sparks reflected off jewelry? or more like glitter?

more like a fire, like sparks flying out of a gun or cannon

ah..hmm. I would guess using vivid light while brushing with white may give something to that effect, but check some PS Tutorial sites and try spark effect see if something comes up. Dont know how to do that really sry.

i've checked everywhere and can't find anything. i also need some good brushes, since i lost all of mine.

i tried just spraying dots and doing motion blue, didn't work out too well

Well i get my brushes off of deviantart. Go to Browse, then Resources and Application something, then photoshop brushes. Sparkle brushes may give the effect you want. Try searching up sparkle when you get to the brushes.

tried that, couldn't find anything that worked well enough. i want to make it like a gun is firing, the blast effect

yeah thats what i figured you were wanting it for. well there are tons here wayyyy better at ps then me, so we will see if anyone else knows.

hmm... here is two sigs i've done. any of these the effects u want?

hmm maybe the second one would work for him, the light effects kinda mimic an explosion from a gun, or a shot kinda.

If that's what he's looking for, it's basicly this:

New layer -> Image -> Apply image -> Filter -> Sharpen -> Sharpen (KEEP DOING THIS 2-10 TIMES, DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH YOU WANT) -> Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian blur -> Set it to about 2,9 (That's what I do), or just play around with it -> Set the blending mode to lighten -> If your render is farked up, erase over it with a soft brush eraser.
