Me and 0l3n are part of an SC2 clan that's called Born Gosu.
The clan is looking to spice up their image, starting with a logo. And so I call upon thee to make something

The doc was originally intended for a pro designer, but we'll probably end up ending that deal since it seems like the theme doesn't play to their strengths.

Also here's the current logo if that matters any:

If I even tried it would be girly, pink and cute. It's a function I can't disable.

That's Ok. Go ahead. I tried making a design myself at some point and it ended up looking a lot like toothpaste xD

No, it was inexplicably what all of us in the clan committee somehow arrived at D:
Partially related to some older memes, but it doesn't really make that much sense... it just feels right somehow.

Apparantly long ago some older member BG members left and formed a new clan that coincidentally also used an octopus mascot....

Hey cuties,

Even though 0l3n is a filthy team dice member (j/k), I've been looking into this.
After a preliminary 'investigation', I come with the following points:

Font wise:
You're probably looking at a slab font, or sans-serif in the 'black' weight. Condensed fonts might work as well, but I don't have any good examples handy.

Colours:
I'd suggest sticking to the current red and black, possibly with some white accents. Possibly forgoing black in favour of a dark shade of red in combination with a new colour. I'd advise against going with strongly contrasting colours, since they tend to feel and look tacky (look at the logos given as examples, none of them contain heavily contrasting colours. It's for a reason).

This is just from a quick look-around during work hours (don't tell my boss). I would love to work on this in my own time, but I can't guarantee I've got something ready to go within X time (bc of working 40 hrs a week and my own personal life).
If time isn't a constraint, let me know! I've been itching to pick up Illustrator again.

I do intend to look into it when I have the time, though time is somewhat of a luxury right now.

We actually have a new designer working on it right now who's been making very good progress.
You're all free to try anyway though
If it's good we'll probably end up creating a poll to vote for the favorite.

@0l3n this is actually all kind of a secret. I kinda derp-posted it here without thinking too much. Ultimately nothing much has been revealed, but I'd still appreciate it if you could keep quiet about these activities to the rest of the clan members

Roger. Exams and a busted router has kept me away from SC2 so not much discord lately. Hopefully it'll be fixed on Monday.
