[Request] Computing & Gaming Society

So i noticed someone trying to revive the once thriving art that this form used to do so i figured rather than ask around my university for someone to do this i would ask here.
In short what i am trying to do is revive a dead or rather two dead societies at my university
Termisoc (The computing society)
Gaming Society (basically was League of legends society)
To do this i am hoping a rebrand will attract more students giving us some fun numbers to run Lan parties, gaming events etc with.
What i am looking for is someone without any bias to these two old societies (basically all of you) to produce a facebook header/banner, and a logo.
Full creative freedom and while i strictly cant pay you right now i can arrange to pay something once we get access to the funds but keep in mind this is a university society funds of around £200 are expected to last a year.
I understand if no one wants to technically this would normally be a paid service but if anyone wants to see their artwork been put to use please have a crack
The society will be called
The Computer & Gaming Society so anything that utilizes those two themes

I don't want to promise anything, because I know I'm a lazy bum. But I might try and I'll do it for free if I do.
What I need to know is what formats I've got to work with. I don't have fb, so I don't know the necessary image resolutions and whatnot. provide all the details you can think of... screenshots might be useful too.
If not for me, then someone else

Wish I could, but I'm no good at drawing/painting/photoshop (sadface.jpg).
Anyway, will keep an eye on this thread to see what poehalcho (or anyone else) comes up with

851 x 315 pixels for facebook banner
I am looking forward to this, its been a long time since i have seen a request going on the artist corner, i used to love seeing what people come up with back in the day where 3/4 people seemed to compete against each other wow sudden flash of nostalgia there.
got no screenshots for you, you have full creative freedom but i will invite you to our new group page once we get up and running so you can brag xD

Fun fact: The code on the screen is actual code i wrote a few years ago for a game.

we like the style, couple of changes, could you make the screen a little bigger so we can see the code a bit better, dont have to see it enough to make it out. Also could you change the word Computer to Computing.
Finally in the same style could we get a small profile picture/logo sized image with CGS as the text.
Loving this old style of the artist corner.

Looking forward to it and loving the work ol3n only thing left to suggest is put your website or signature on the bottom right corner of the banner so people can find your work. if we do go for your design we will honor you when we rebrand.
This is our current branding.

Doubt anyone will be able to make out the signature but I don't have a site so hey, just a little random splotch for people to ponder about.

I'm sorry, I have failed

I'm ashamed to say this is the best I could come up with >.<
I have no inspiration and on top of that I'm really having difficulty representing the computing side properly. It ultimately ended up having zero coherence. Especially those programming languages disturb a lot, since they naturally draw in the eye to read.
The only part I kinda like is the three panels on the right, since their colors work together.
edit:
Actually... after this introspection I might have ideas how to make it decent... but I think I've tried enough for today. Maybe more later, but don't get your hopes up :X
edit edit:
working on it. expect something a lot more coherent.

Here's the improved version

I'm much happier with this. Better image choices, actual color coordination and less grasping at straws. A fairly smooth transition from greens on the left to blue/purples on the right.
Failing is learning I guess.

Our re-branding has started already got some hate (the society was formed as Termisoc in 1991 so its 25 years old and we changed the name)

Alright, so I wasn't going to do this, but I spent some hours messing around yesterday and came up with this, which I'm actually pretty proud of
Okay, maybe I did it this morning in 2 minutes of time using MS Paint. And also, maybe I'm not really proud of it. But I was bored and my weird sense of humor told me that this would be funny...
